  1. Thanks for the suggestions....sounding like I may just have to drive back to my home town (Sullivan) and float and fish the areas Im used to...Meramec...Bourbeuse...etc...
  2. I was hoping to get some suggestions on streams or rivers in the area of O'Fallon, MO, that are good bass fishing waterways or smaller lakes that a kayak can be put on for fishing. Not that familiar with this area and was looking for options that didn't have to include a 3 hr. drive. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Once again, thanks for all the information...will definitely take check into some of the things that have been mentioned.
  4. Thanks for the feedback guys....any other good fishing near O'Fallon where I could use my kayak? River or Lake?
  5. I'm new to the O'Fallon, MO, area...seasoned fisherman, but trying to find out some of the better areas I can hit on short notice coming out of the Winghaven area. I wondered if your own kayaks can be used on the lakes over at AB Conservation Area, or if you could only fish from the banks unless you rented one of their boats? Would love to get some feedback and thanks in advance.
  6. KC Bass Fanatic, Thank you so much for the information. My wife and I really appreciate it and if the bass are biting we'll have an incredible time....if they aren't...well...we'll still have an incredible time...lol..
  7. KC Bass Fanatic....thanks so much for the report. My wife and I are heading down on Sat. 10/13 and camping and fishing for a week. Hoping the weather cooperates well enough..and looking forward to lots of fishing. I was wondering if spinners and shallow running crankbaits would be the lures of choice, but sounds like it still may be a little early??? Any advice as to some good fishing areas this time of year would be greatly appreciated.
  8. My wife and I fished the Pomme side today (6/18) from about 8am - 3pm and really struggled to get a decent bass bite going. I caught one short and she ended up with 3 bass....all keepers...with her last one about 2:30 being about a 16 inch 2+ pounder. It was very windy today, so didn't get to run like we wanted to and fished mainly the bluffs down from the Hermitage State Park public beach. She fished a plastic worm or lizard all day...while i threw a fluke, a spinnerbait, a football jig, a Carolina rig, and drop shot...lol. Guess I should have kept it simple stupid...lol
  9. My wife and I are arriving on Sunday for a week of camping (Hermitage Park side) and fishing. Have been reading the posts and trying to figure out a pattern for our fishing next week as well. Does everyone believe the fish will be tighter to the banks? or along the bluffs in deeper water or what? Any help like the above comments are welcome and if anyone else is going to be at Pomme next week let us know...maybe we can visit out on the water some... Randy
  10. Hey bojack....my wife and I are staying there at Bennett during the first week of June. We scoped it out and loved the lower area...full-hookups...clean....concrete level pads...very nice...When we reserved our spot at end of Jan. they only had like 3 other spots open during that time in the lower section. We're staying wed-fri. to avoid the weekenders too. We'll be pulling our travel trailer there after a few days at Pomme de Terre Lake. Maybe we'll see you there. FisherCouple
  11. My wife and I have been researching various small boats and ran across the inflatable SeaEagle Foldcat 375fc. We were hoping to get some feedback from anyone that my already own one of these crafts regarding pros, cons, etc. We intend on using the boat (haven't purchased it yet) on area lakes in Missouri...Table Rock..Pomme de Terre....etc. and floating streams. We were both impressed with information we found online about them...other reviews....etc. Any feedback woud be greatly appreciated. FisherCouple Missouri
