I just got off the phone with one of the members of the club. The tournament is still on and set for May 1st, same ramp and entry as last year. The fliers should be coming out soon, he also said it was ramping up to be better than ever as far as sponsorships.
Sorry I'm no help, but great question. I'm on Table Rock nearly every week and see very few if any Gizzard shad anymore. The only ones I ever see are way up the rivers. Does anyone know why our Gizzard Shad population has diminished?
My Dad turns 60 this year, my brother and I would like to take him to Canada on a fishing trip of a lifetime. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to go? We would like to catch smallies, wallies and muskie if possible. All of us fish have fished the rock our entire lives, but would really like to go on an unforgettable Canada trip. We would like to rent a boat there, no fly-ins, and have nice lodging. Thanks Again for all your help.
I called the tournament director yesterday afternoon. They decided due to the high water that there wouldn't be enough parking to hold the event for 175 boats. I also heard the rumor the central pro-am was the same day out of Port of Kimberling, it would be impossible to accomodate everyone. Its probably the right decision, but what a great tourney to cancel. They have no plans at this time to reschedule.
The Corps is doing all they can to drop the lake, however they can only drop it 6" or so per day. That is if were aren't getting lots of run-off. With spring rains still likely I would say we would be very fortunate to see it at 920.00 by the 27th.
Hey Guys New Member from Northwest Arkansas. I've been reading the forum now for a couple of months now, and have been very impressed. I grew up fishing Table Rock and still fish it 90% of the time. Does anyone know of a website that lists upcoming tournaments? the only one I'm aware of is 7/24 Outdoors. Thanks
