I think I read somewhere when the water temp moves into the 50's they start moving out of winter haunts so I guess its up to mother nature.

Hello men. I'm new to your forum here but have enjoyed reading your threads. I live down south near the 11Point and Jacks Fork...only get to the Gasconade once, maybe twice a year. I was thinking about packing the canoe up the end of March. Are the smallmouth out of the "winter funk" by then? I realize that can depend on only 27 different things!.....but what do you think?
