  4. Rio for sure i landed my first big fish on the current with 6x and i didnt fight him to long and my leader wasnt really stressed either..
  5. the guy was not remotely excited..he just threw him on stringer and booked it....i wish one of us would have got to him first ,so we could have let him go up by the line so he could go back up into the hachery area. it was sad to see that..it was the biggest brown i have seen caught at maramec personally..i guess im bitter because i didnt catch sh** that day ..o well it was cool to see that many scuds in the water.. i thought with that many people wading through allot of them would be washed out ,but there was a ton of them

  12. I have the william Joseph mag series and i love it. No zippers on the stream is amazing . its kind of small but i like that . It does have a ring for your net .its so comfortable i forget i am wearing it allot of the time. my buddy also has one and loves it. the best thing about it though is no zippers to rust out or snag your line and the magnets are really strong. i like to stick dries to the magnet and let them dry out ..great buy
  13. you need to get tying buddy...the time is near.
  14. thanks for the info guys
  15. Im going down with "trizkid" 23-27 of march and neither one of us have fished at montauk . i was curious about where we should start in the morning. we will be fly fishing, which we are also fairly new to, and we arent really sure where anything is at. we will be camping in the 3rd loop and im pretty sure thats a ways away from the catch and release area .does all the water pretty much hold fish. i also have a basic idea of what flies to use. any advice welcome
  16. went day after opening day and i was on the brink of punching someone myself ...some anglers, if want to call them that, have a total lack of respect or generosity for their fellow fishermen...dont want to get too specific b/c most of u allready generally know what im talking about..i expected the crowds but not the downright rudeness...it was allmost impossible to make a decent cast in some areas, in which most of the fish were held up... in conclusion it was a nice warm day and i didnt puch anyone so like they say a bad day fishing beats a good day at work.. ~creepinstreams
