Not sure ducky ... need to do some research- I really don't know the fishing terrain there. Home base is Mt Pisgah, between Heber and Searcy, so wherever I can get to in about an hour+ drive time. I'm not married to trout fishing - a change in fish could be fun as well - I'm just anxious to fish there. Got a feeling the folks are going to be seeing a lot more of me! Given where I'm staying, if you only had a day or two to fish, where would YOU go? Thought it would be helpful to have a guide, especially when I heard it can be a bit crowded at public sites. Someone mentioned a TU chapter there - good idea. Thanks!

Hello, I currently live in the hill country outside Austin TX and fish the Guadalupe River with GRTU access, along with other watering holes for white bass, etc. here. Born in Searcy, up the road from Heber Springs, family roots still there. Trout season will be wrap up soon here as tubers take over the river but thrilled to learn there's yr-round trout 'back home' as well as other fishing we may not have. Hope to come visit the folks late March and will be looking for fishing updates ... hope to hire a guide as well. Recommendations anyone? Is there a fishing club in the vicinity? The info here is really helpful so that I schedule my trips home when the fishing is good! Thanks, fly girl
