I would highly doubt the gas is bad and it has the E-Tec oil in it. We just bought the boat about a month ago and they filled it up with gas then and he told us everything we need to do since the E-Tec's need the different oil and such, but we havent even came close to needing to change it or anything. I have two primer bulbs (one by the gas tank itself in the storage well and the other outside that connects to the motor) and the one in the well is always tight and the one outside gets tighter but nothing like the other one. As for having it too low in the water I dont think thats it either, I've tried starting it at different heights thinking it may work for some reason (I didnt know about the exhaust being covered though). So it may seem like it may be either a bubble or a leak from what you said. I know when its in the garage it does smell overly gassy in there. Any tips on how to check for the leak? I've never really had starting problems in the past so I dont really know how to go about fixing them. Thanks for the advice guys.

I have a 115hp E-Tec and I have the hardest time getting it to start. I read through my manual and it offers no help with my problem. Once it starts it normally runs fine but for the first time of the day it takes about 20+ tries to get it going. I've never had this problem with any other motor. Does anyone else have an E-Tec and have this problem or any advice you can throw my way? Thanks.

Just wondering if anyone has been catching any gills? Last time I was down (middle of May) we were catching them really well on chunks of crawler in about 5 foot around docks. Assuming they are just deeper now? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you try the ol Zebco 33's? I used them when i was kid and my mother uses them as she sounds the same as your wife and she doesnt have a problem with them. Other than that good luck really....But I agree with Sam, open face spinning reels are usually a snap to catch onto, my girlfriend picked one up and seemed like a natural. Fished from State Park to Gage's Monday and Wednesday. Didnt really have a topwater bite to speak of, threw redfins and spooks, and most fish came after 11 am in the day and after 6 pm in the evening. Never really had a consistant bite except Wednesday evening, but everything was pretty decent size. Almost everything we caught would have kept. Best 5 would have went around 15-16 lbs, which about all the fish were in that 2-3 lb range with a nice LM that went 4lb 10oz and was spawned out. All LM's looked spawned and the KY's were fat. I think only 3-4 fish we caught wouldnt have kept and they were SM's. All and all fun couple days, would have been better with some cloud cover!!! Definitely would have made for some cooler afternoons. Oh and the girlfriend and mom got us some nice keeper gills around docks with pieces of crawlers. Made a nice fish fry. Any info on how to catch some goggle eyes consistantly? We picked a few up on plastic worms and grubs, good eatin fish just dont know how to really catch them! Took a picture of the LM if I can figure out how to get it from my phone to my computer I will post.

What area of the lake were you fishing? And on the whites were you using a spoon or catch them on the grub?

What is everyone's favorite size, color, etc of jerkbaits? Never really thrown a jerkbait much but thought we may give it a try after this front. Thanks.

RPS, I fish Table Rock and would love to have a little more knowledge about some walleye fishing. I've caught a few walleye in the past but never on the rock. Thanks in advance.

My father and I put in by the state park and we decided to dock fish with jigs and grubs. Started off pretty well, he saw some fish working up close to bank so he threw a small spook and right off caught a 2.5 lb kentucky. Only hit on topwater he also landed a short on a jig. I just a had few hits on my grub and I brought some crawlers to try the drop shot but I decided to try for some bluegill firstly. My first cast on a dock bam! my float shot under and set the hook and could have swore I missed him. Reeled up and he was still on. I said out of excitement i think its a Crappie, dad thought it was a bass until I got it up to the boat and sure enough 15" Crappie. Definitely a fluke because I never recall catching a Crappie on worms in my life and only one of the day. We ended up catching a dozen keeper gills and that crappie with several small gills and a small LM. All in all slow bass fishing day for what we hoped but him catching that chunky Kentucky and me that Crappie and a tasty lunch makes for a good day in my book.

Wow thanks guy for getting back so quick...Another question, do you have to have a boating license in Arkansas? I know you do in Missouri if you are under a certain age, which I am, and if so any of you know if bank fishing is any good there? Now knowing how well the bluegill fishing is I'll probably just do that because my girlfriend loves catching quantities of fish more so than a decent bass now and again lol...Thanks again

I have to go to Little Rock on Monday and we are gonna be staying in Conway for three days and I was just wondering how the fishing was at Lake Conway...On the Arkansas lakes site says its stocked with bass, crappie, bream and catfish but average depth is like 6 ft..... Was debating on renting a boat for a day but didnt know if it would be worth the money...Thanks in advance

I dont think we have, it always takes forever to sign our first round pick(s) and I dont follow much football in the offseason because thats what it is the offseason and its baseball season...But Derrick Johnson has played really well and Tamba hasnt looked awful I have a feeling he's gonna have double digit sacks this year...But, like I said in my first post, I think Peterson will be out with Herm if the Chiefs dont improve this year, I think the Hunt's arent totally in love Carl...

But no the Cardinals beat who I thought was the best team in all of baseball in the NLCS, I think the best team in baseball wins it almost every year, I'm not that kind of person, I give credit where it belongs....Did I think they played over their heads that year? Absolutely, but who cares they won it all, and to most people I guess thats all that matters....And Arrowhead, towards the end of the year, was not completely filled in the least....I could be wrong but I think they were having 15-20000 empty seats, I think I heard that last year but not certain on that...But almost everyone is sick of Peterson so I think he's close to being on his way out so I dunno why you think he's gonna be around much longer................................................................

I am a huge Gordon and Hendrick fan, however I really cant lean either way when it comes to the chase...Its different and sure Gordon had the best overall season last year and didnt win the championship but so did the Patriots so its kinda either way on that however the driver with most wins starts first when chase starts so I kinda think teams will take more risks to get a win cuz long as they're in top 12 they make chase anyway... I actually agree with a good chunk of what Drew said in this topic unlike our thoughts on the Chiefs... A little late jumping in to this topic but looks like Logano very well may be in the #20 car next year what a future for Gibbs with those three young kids... Hendrick definitely downgraded in ability with Jr but obviously getting more $$$ which is what racing is about anymore... He's not horrible by any means but look at what Kyle is doing now that he has this amazing equipment... I think Jr. is 3rd in points and right there every week so you can't say he's not an elite driver, but Kyle is on another level right now...But to say Jimmie and Jr. mope after a bad race (who wouldnt be upset after running 500 miles and not winning) is nothing compared to what Tony Stewart does oh my god its always someone elses fault... But I couldnt agree more about Drew's comments on the Nationwide Series... Its just like the minor leagues in baseball its about getting experience, however the big names do draw the crowds.... I have heard rumors of Cubs and Cardinals being a rivalry...hmmm, but yeah he's a bit past his prime I personally love the idea of a Johnson-Lofton platoon in center and Lofton is a left-handed bat that can still hit at least .280 but its the Cubs. Done more good than bad in the last two offseasons so can't be too awful upset with them, just gotta let this one go and you're very right usually a player that goes to a rivalry at least has one decisive play in a game....Dare I say c'mon Jimmy

I have been jonesin' to catch some catfish a lot lately, problem is I have no idea around here to go...I live in Branson but willing to drive up to an hour or so, so I was wondering if anyone could put me in a general direction of a decent place to go. The few times I went up by Springfield Lake dam I saw several people catfishing on the Springfield Lake side, is that a nice hunny hole? Obviously, I dont want anyone's secret spots but just a general area of a particular lake. I would be bank fishing tho and I dont care about catching anything big but would just love to get into some of them. Thanks in advance for anything you fellas share.

Thanks guys and yep sure did cut my finger on it once right at first...I dunno if I've somehow gotten a lot stronger or what but good gracious I've broke off setting the hook on fish over a half dozen times already this year! Think I'm finally getting myself calmed down to stop that lol...I'm thinkin maybe I did get a bad spool of it, may have to try another brand and/or heavier...

When I pull the knots tight it just kinda shreds the braid and unravels it basically. Sometimes when I pull it tight it completely breaks off, sometimes it throws off and sometimes when i set the hook it breaks and its 10 lb test with 2 lb diameter.

Chetopa my sister now lives in Parsons tho...Most of my family is scattered through the area tho.
