  1. There is a little place we used to stay at for our cub touneys near there (right where the little Niangua breaks off) called Notty Pine Resort 800 873 5181 . I know they rent some 16 foot Lowe V bottom boats. Nice little place and some good folks running it. They also have a gas pump there. We've always caught a lot of fish there around the junction of the little and big Niangua. White Spinnerbaits are a favorite. Hope that helps.
  2. Hi Everyone. I'll keep this brief. First time poster. I'm a lifetime fisherman (mostly Bass and Bass tourneys with Hawg Hawlers Bass Club) but over the past three years I've gotten more and more into the Trout. Got hooked on the Catch and Release season when I Got lucky last year with a 26" Rainbow and Unlucky... not a sole around to take a photo. Anyway, after seeing a number of posts about some of the rule benders and breakers...and having seen some of it myself, I have a suggestion. Since everybody has to wear a tag to fish in the park, how about this. I propose the MDC (or whoever is in charge of the tags) Makes them a little larger and prints both sides as follows. Side 1: All the general rules and details that will fit. This side would not be required to be visible. Side 2: This Side would be required to be visible at all times and would have the individual tag number at the bottom and above would be printed "KINDLY LET ME KNOW IF I AM BREAKING ANY RULES" So then what you have is an open invitation for folks to "KINDLY" remind each other of the regulations. Those that know they are outside the law would know that they will be reminded all day.....and maybe reconsider their disregard for the rules. Anybody have thoughts on this? Good or bad Idea?
