Put in at Empire park today on guide trip. Water color was real good. Fished all the way up to The Landing. We were bass fishing today since the gentleman I took had his heart set on catching Table Rock bass...after a little discussion I convinced him we should probably stay clear of Table for a few more days and fish Taneycomo. Fished creeks off of main channel since the current is extremely strong. Roark Creek was full of boats and people fishing off of the shore. We had 7 keeper bites and landed 5 with 2 of them over 3 and client lost 2 good ones, one looked like 5-6 pounder....drag to tight, broke his line. We had 4-5 shorts and finally caught a couple rainbows before we went in. Best bait was a crankbait and a jig. The better largemouth were in the dirtier water. Creek water temps was 53-56 degrees
