  1. I noticed the water level and discharge have returned to about normal levels. Has anyone been out fishing recently. May come down next week, unless all the trout left on an ark.
  2. we are coming down in febuary to do some winter fishing and was wondering how conditions compare to this fall. we fish outside the park, and last trip was late october. i know it is colder and a lot of people say the water is down...is it down more than this fall, or about the same.
  3. hope everyone that was down was safe if there were storms. we are going down the 5-8, and looks to be rainy and humid. we will be in loop 4 with fat girl basset.
  4. thanks everyone...
  5. can anyone refresh me on how to read the water reports. i have known in the past, but it was apparently moved out of my brain to make room. i know there is rain coming this week and we have a couple trips planned in the next month. i dont believe it looks high now, so could handle some water, but just cant remember. thanks, lacey
  6. I am sending my boys down to Montauk for spring break. They will be fishing Baptist Tan Vat, Parkers and possibly in park. I have looked at water pages and it looks like water discharge and gage is low enough for good wading and fishing. can anyone let me know what water quality is like for some Cabalas bait selection and if ground is spongy, like will the camper sink?
  7. cool, that helps a lot. otherwise i was just staring at a graph and having some flashbacks from statistics class...ended up under the desk twice.
  8. yeah, i have looked at it, but it means nothing. Iam not sure how to interpret it and what it means the river looks like. thanks though.
  9. awesome, thanks. it's a long drive for a flood.
  10. I just had to post. Anyday I am fishing is epic day because I am not at work.
  11. I am sending my boys down to fish for spring Break, 3-18-3-22. They are either going to stay in Park or at Pine crest, but would like to fish mostly out of park. We are familar with Tan-vat, Baptist, and Parkers Ford, but wanted to make sure it was low enough to be fishable. They got rained out last year with big flood. Also, since season is finally open, wanted to know what is working. this will be their earliest trip to Montauk/ current. Thanks from KC.
  12. I have to agree that montauk is the best park to trout fish in MO, although i haven't fished at meremac. but, it is beautiful and the fishing is absolutely wonderful. i am sending my boys (18, 12, and 41) down next week for spring break. (my husband has actually graduated, but he has voluunteered to take the boys on spring break). anyway, we are trying to get all the fishing supplies together and am trying to find fishing reports and water levels(high, fast, ect). my 12 y/o is 5 feet tall and weighs about a pound and i don't want him to get swept away. they will fish some in the c&r area and some outside the park, baptist mostly. any suggestions for keeping a 12y/o into an occasional fish would be appreciated. he has a 7" 4wt fly rod, and a spinning rod. and, if you see them down there, say hi--dad and 2 boys.
