Still waiting impatiently for ice out here in Iowa...going to put in a spring order w/ Bass Pro stocking up for the year. I will be taking a weeklong summer vacation to Table Rock, first week of August. From reading other posts, looks like it will be a test of angling skills at that time of year. Any suggestions/recommendations on what to add to this year's shopping cart? So far I've gathered must have's are: drop shot setups, the watermelon seed plastics, and PB&J football jigs. Will be fishing for bass, crappie, and 'gills and staying up near the Aunt's Creek area. I know it's early, but I'm fighting a terrible case of cabin fever. Push some warm air just a little further north! Happy spring fishing all...

Hey all! I've been visiting and reading many posts on the site - both past and present. Finally decided to join the group. I'm from Iowa, recently married last fall....living close to Des Moines. Born and raised just south of Chicago. Fished all over the country (and Canada) but always make an annual summer vacation to Table Rock. Heard mention of this forum and I've got to hand it to everyone on here, this is the most intelligent and sociable group of anglers I've found! Always willing to chat about fishing and hope I can pick some new tips & ideas up along the way. Happy angling...
