does anyone know the best way to get that muddy/ fishy taste out of trout when you cook them? i catch a lot of trout but usually release them because of their fishy taste. if anyone knows a good way im willing to give er a try.
i went down there yesterday and caught most fish the same way except i used my fly rod. i caught a few but no where close to the usual. my best fly was tri colored glow balls. it pretty much sucked all day but i ended up catching round 20 decent fish. biggest was a 2 pounder i caught by the big bridge in zone 2 on a tri color gb under a float
The water was almost 3 ft high is most parts of the river especially in zone 2. i did catch around 20 or 25 fish when most people had a hard time catching their limit. the fishing was extremely slow!!!!! most of the fish i caught were on tri colored glow balls and orange and pink jigs under a float. since the water was soo muddy fishing with dark colored flys or small flys size 16 or 18 would not catch fish. good luck to anyone going down there any time soon.
