  2. you sure did alot better than we did we throwed live minnows purple swimin minnows XL slabhunters and every coler of Vibric roster tail you can think of the 1 walleye we cought came in on a purple swimin minnow and I cought 5 of the 8 white bass on live bait.
  3. I may be a little late on this topic but I just discoverd it . I have a 16/48 Blazer with50 hp jet and wouldent trade it for anything. the olny thing is pluging up mine has power trim and it takes a little time to rais and lower but easy to do. The other guys I run with dont have the power trim just pick the moter up and drop it and It usually slings the junk out . they will be gone before I get mine raised out of the water.
  4. I dident go this weekend to see if it was cracked followed my gut feeling and went elseware and dident do so well. So I figured dont follow your gut after a long nite of drinking beer and eating them wild mushrooms that are starting to pop they will lead you in the wrong directin !!!!!!!!!!
  5. Lanched boat at taylor again fished all the way to 215 olny cought 1 walleye went on up river cought a few whie bass talked to a land owner who was fishing he was really catching them right at his feet just out of our reach one right after the other super nice guy dident want to crowd him to much. seen a few nice stringers come by . I am not sure if the best is past last week in the flood water and cold temps or if the fish are just way up river were the havent been in years. between 3 of us we brought home 8 whites 1 walleye in 12 houres fishing . what ever the case the bite was slow for everyone I seen except the land owner. all our fish was males 1 small female with eggs
  6. I was there after the 3 weeks ago after the water went down everything was fine then but is was way up again last week so I dont know. I planned on going sunday so I will see then.
  7. I fish the park alot with fly rod spinning rod and sling alot of bait when I take the kids. I fish in zone 2 more than anyware and when alot of people are in the park I just use my spinning rod its alot safer for everyone. Never had any problems untill this year. It was sholder to shouder anyway I was fishing and a gentalman was 25ft infront of me flipping his rod out so i started fishing around waiting for a spot to open up so i could get in the water.the guy starts ripping his line back and forth and I move over to the side out of the line of fire and continue to fish and he backs up right were I was trying to fish so I cant. So I decided to go get my fly rod because safty waset an issue any more and he was gone when I got back luckey for him. I didnot realiese ther was that mutch tension between some not all fly fisherman and everyone else.I just read this post and wanted to share my story.
  8. I am not a good bass fisherman but I cought 5 largemouth & kentuckeys way up the pomme det err arm between avery & sapps landing while crappie fishing last spring the smallest was 4lbs & biggest 6lbs just unreal. I realised every one of them. them fish would have went along way in a turnament. If you get up in that part of the lake be very carefule flooded timberand underwater stumps everyware. Avery has 25 ft water in channel Sapps is channel olny & 10 ft water at normal power pool. hope this helps. Good Luck!
  9. Who knows with all the water most of the ones I have cought have been up river between taylor & 215 I am going next weekend after the water goes back down and warms back up a little but who knows where the might be with all the water the might be in springfield.
  10. has anyone got a report for lake Niangua or below the dam
  11. are they running like they was in July if they are I am playing hookey thursday and maybe friday too. depending on water temp may be the best walleye fishing of the year.
  12. I sure hate that for people living on the river but if their is a brite side to this their is no telling what kind of fish will be their when the water gets back to normal. anybody have a report on spoonbill ? has anybody ever cought walleye below the dam ? On a gigging trip in November just south of Nixa I saw one around 3 to 4 lbs dont have any idea why it was their and the fish is luckey I seen it and not some of the other less sportsman like people I seen hiding bass under boat seats. I would rather catch bass and eat suckers. Now I will quit rambling and go any info on the spoonbill will be greatly welcom
  13. I live 20 miles from bssp so I have never stayed their bu I do stay at the Osage Bluff Lodge on Truman often as I can nice and quit easy lake axess and the marina has a decent cafe
  14. i live between table rock and truman rather fish truman have boat & snagging rods just dont know how to snag.
  15. iI bought some lead molds at bass pro for aroun $30 but dont buy their lead you wont save as mutch. I found a tire shop that dont reuse wheel waits they throw them in buckets and sell for scrap they might sell them to you if you do bisneuss with them. I melted them on my fish cooker in a alumanum pan (smoke & stink a little) when melted clean lead will pour through all the wheel clips and whatever else may be in with it
