Can you put in at 10 bridge?
-
Does anyone know if Turnback has the green moss on it like last year?
-
I am looking to make a trip on the 10th. I am hoping to put in at Mutton Creek. If anyone is out and about, would you please post if the lake is open? I am driving from a ways away and would not like to drive there to fine out that I can't get on the lake. I am afraid that with this cold weather coming in that the ramps may freeze over.

I am headed to Stockton tomorrow for a little RandR with my dad and my two boys. I am checking to see if the south Mutton Creek ramp is open. If anyone knows please post a reply.

Charles Daly Shotgun For Sale Or Trade
Hooksetter replied to Hooksetter's topic in Buy - Sell - Trade
I realized that I made a mistake in the phone number. The correct number is 4176712687. I apologize for the mistake. The gun is currently still for sale. -
I have a Charles Daly semi-automatic 12 guage shotgun for sale or trade. It has a 28" barrell, fully camoed, shoots up to 3.5" shells, it has the attachments for a sling, and has a fiberoptic front sight. It is made to be a turkey or waterfowl gun. I am asking $250. I may trade for a in-line muzzleloder. You can call, text or email me. 4716712687, counselingminister@yahoo.com

Due to the weather we had to go today. All I can say is, "It was a great day!"

My oldest son (5) has asked to go fishing on his birthday (May 26th). My dad and I are planning on taking him out to try out his new fishing pole. I figure gills will be the most fun. We live in Cassville. I am looking at putting in at either Sweetwater or Eagle Rock. Does anyone have any advice they could give on good places to go to catch some bluegills? Thanks for the help.

Went fishing on July 3rd for flatheads. Put out 37 jugs. Only one largemouth bass that was 17 inches long. I used live perch for bait. We went up Kings River. The moon was out and the fireworks were popping!! We started aroun 8:30 and pulled the jugs at midnight.

I just go the boat back from the shop. The reverse is fixed. It is running better and is ready to go. I am still asking $1500 for it. Thanks for looking.

Thanks to Tim I caught between 25 and 30 on Friday morning. I started at 8:15 and stopped at 12:30. I caught three at or close to four lbs. One measured 22". One on a floating food pattern, one on a white thread jig, and one on a black on blue beadhead wooley bugger. Most were caught early on the food pattern. I also had good luck with a grey as well as olive scud, brass beaded pheasant tail and chartruese beadhead wooley bugger. Good luck to you if you get at chance to go.

me and a friend went Monday and did well on a white thread jig. We caught 20+ from 9:30 to 12. We had trouble on everything else. My friend missed a good brown around 11:30. Good luck to all that are going.

OKFlyFisher44 thanks for the advice. I followed it to some degree and caught a few more today. I am still having trouble with my knots holding, but i was getting a few more hit. I got two hits on a black beetle, but I am unsure how to fish it. Do you fish it like a dry fly or what? What kind of strike indicator is the best, and how far above the nymph do you put the indicator? Thanks for helping a rookie!

It was amateur hour at RR this afternoon. Me a another rookie went from 1:30 to 5:30 and got one fish to the bank. I broke two off on the hookset. I forgot I was not fishing for bass. Maybe things will go better in the morning. Helpful suggestions are welcomed. I had the hits on a green crackleback and a olive wooleybugger. I tried orange glowball, white/orange glowball, yellow crackleback, ant, and beetle.

I would be willing to trade for a flat bottom river boat with a jet prop.

I have a 1981 Procraft fiberglass boat for sale. It has a 75 horse Johnson, one Lowrance flasher depthfinder, trollingmotor, trailer, etc. It is a fishing boat not a showroom boat. There is little to no carpet in it and it will not go in reverse. When I put a used lower unit on it it would no longer go in reverse. Someone smarter than me should be able to figure it out. I am asking $1,500. The boat is in the Cassville MO. If interested call 4176712687 More pictures are available in the "Boat Review" forum.

I live just East of Van Buren. I have a friend who's family owns "The Landing". You should go see him. Ask for Matt Bedell and tell him that Nathan sent you. He set me and three of my friends on a half day trip. I have also done a full day trip. A good full day trip is Waymire to Big Spring. This trip starts north of Van Buren and ends just south of Van Buren. A tornado went through a few years ago just south of the Van Buren bridge and dropped a lot of trees in the water. This is a good spot for SMB and Walleye. Last Friday we caught 30 Goggleye, 20 SMB and 1 Kentucky. Most were caught on white twister tails, green with red flake grub and green tubejigs. I would recommend 8 lbs. line. I hope this helps.

Gentlemen I am new at this so please bare with me. I fished one pool down from the big falls. I found that the most successful casts were across current with a slow steady retrieve. I would do what I call a finger retrieve and they would KILL it. It was one of those days that you could feel the strike not just see it. Water conditions were above normal and cloudy. I would guess three feet of visability may be four. I did try a black bugger with gray hackle, but had no takers. I did not see another fly fisherman, so I do not know what else might have worked. Thanks for the encouragement.

By 8:30 I had five on the bank and 8 misses. All came on an gold bead olive Wooley Bugger. At one time I had five bites on five casts. I would recommend tying them with a little weight in them or a splitshot in front if you are fishing the deep wholes. If you fish in front of a falls area you will not need the weight. I could not get a bite on anything else. I tried a black bugger, orange glowball, and a crackleback but nothing produced like the bugger. I just wish I did not run out. Some came untied and some broke off. Tim, thanks for the info!!!
