I believe your thinking of Kings Harbour Resort. They no longer have their tackle shop. They do have tackle in the Jug-n-Plug in Shell Knob as well as the Country Fresh Market.

Denjac...Very nice fish.
I went down to the Rock this weekend hoping to get a little fishing in and give a report of what DID not work. Unfortunatly a new house went in across the street and the surveyor drove a stake through the water line. I spent the day waiting for that to get fixed the whole time I saw a parade of boats motoring from spot to spot. The Kings was busy. I wish I had some kind of report to add. Hopefully I will get some fishing in the next few weeks’ in-between baseball and some more plumbing work.

Thanks Eric! I know exactly where you are talking about in fact that is the sweetwater cove over my right shoulder in my avatar. Were there many people fishing the Kings that day?

Thanks for the report. I am planning on making it down next weekend.Not sure if I will get to fish much because I have plenty of chores to do. This is my last year of coaching basball from Feb-July. Next year I will be able to post more reports but as I fish it will probably be more what NOT to do. Thanks again for the info.

I was down at Shell Knob the last two days and all is well.Only ice I seen was way down in the Kings.5-6 boats at 39 bridge launch area and 3 down at Big Bay.Most all of Big Creek is ice free until the very back where our cabin is.Looks like a good weekend out on the water.
How far back on the Kings is the ice?
