  1. I was referring to Omaha, AR
  2. What makes Moutain Home the place to be? What has it got over some other place like Kimberling City? Over a more central location like Omaha?
  3. It is indeed in Dogwood Canyon. Its thru Orvis and is a two day class for $470. They recommend that you stay at Big Cedar but I'll most likely stay in Branson somewhere. Big Cedar is out of my price range as they only have cabins available. The plan is to go to Branson and do some things with the family over the weekend and then go to the school on Mon and Tues while the rest of the family continues doing stuff in Branson. Plus it will give a chance to explore a bit and see what the area looks like before we possibly move there.
  4. Anyone ever attended the Orvis Flyfishing School at Big Cedar? Comments?
  5. Thanks for all the replies. The "triangle" mentioned is exactly the area that I have been looking at for work. I've applied for a couple jobs in WalMart, JB Hunt, and a couple small businesses but haven't heard any replies yet. Don't imagine I will for a while because they usually take a long time to respond. I'm in IT but I suppose with my retirement check coming in that I could probably make do with just an average job. I'll stick it out in the military another year or so before I do that though....no sense in taking a cut on the retirement for a slightly above minimum wage job. I'll have to look into those other companies you guys mentioned though....never know when someone needs a geek.
  6. Hello All, Nice forum you have here. I'm retiring soon from the USAF and have been looking more and more to the Ozarks. I've seen quite a few jobs available in both MO and AR but don't know that much about the area. I'm big into trout fishing and fly fishing. Doesn't matter if its from a float tube on a lake or in waders in the river. What would be your top five places to live in the Ozarks if you had opportunity to live anywhere?
