  1. "The Kahlua colored waters of the St Francis River..." Thats nice, I haven't heard that. I've only really fished the upper St. Francis - specifically the part in Madison Co. - and a little bit in Lake Wappapello. The water upstream is quite clean and clear. The smallmouth bass fishing is incredible. I've consistently caught fish up to 20in. The goggle-eye and crappie fishing is also excellent, esp. in the spring. Like you said Terry, there are big catfish both above and below the lake. I would highly recommend a float on the upper portion. Thanks, Paul
  2. Dear Admin, First of all, this site is great. I really appreciate all the work you and some the more prolific posters put into it. I've learned quite a bit by reading the valuable info. posted here. I was, however, somewhat upset to find no forum for the St. Francis River. I have grown up fishing this river and I think its as good a fishery or better than many of the others posted here. A majority of my time is spent on this river, so unfortunately I don't have much to add to the other forums. Anyway, keep up the good work, I'll keep returning to the forum regardless. Thanks Again, Paul
  3. Thanks for all your replies. So, it sounds like unless we get some more water, heading down further into the lake would be a better bet? Also sounds like live bait is the way to go, and I've got some Rogues I'm dying to try out. The FLW tour is there from 3/5-3/8. I may be getting there right after it, thanks for the info. Thanks Again Paul
  4. Howdy. I'm making my first trip to Norfork in mid-March. My goal is to catch some walleye around the Tecumseh area and upstream in the creek and NF river. Any tips about finding eyes around there? Also is there much striper action so far north? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy fishin'.
