  1. I will see if we can find you where r u putting in at? I am not taking my boat due to motor trouble but i will be in the boat with some one I think Ruark Bluff or cedar ridge is where i shall put in at heck I got all wound up in these crappie tourney's that I almost forgot I am a bass fisherman also!!So i am going to drop a shiner pole in and pick up the bait caster and well what happens next is up to the fish.I can say I no when the winds not too harsh but right there are some very good spots at cedar ridge where I have caught real nice quality bass it seems like the swim grub or a blue shiner (color) is almost a sure thing at this area hope to see you there.
  2. well i think bass fishing should be awesome i am going to bring my bass gear with me so i can go after them awhile we have caught alot of our better fish on a blue shiner crankbait about 3in long also on a white spinnerbait isnt bad but noticed that the better fish were on the crankbaits We even caught alot on a 2in white swim grub lots of Kentucky's but if you are down on Saturday Whack 'em and bass fishing is slow if your around cedar ridge come say hi and see if you can catch some crappie's where i am at just look for a aluminum Bass Tracker and the one with the bigfish.
  3. well i got fishing in my blood a boiling so i am going to go back this saturday and see what good i can do last sat the water was stained pretty bad around cedar ridge/high point areas but i think we should do alright now that we have no time limit i am going strictly to put fillets in my freezer i am completely out after the fish fry sunday afternoon so i got to stock up on some kind of fish hope to see plenty of folks out there catching them.
  4. well i went to the tourney it took 7p10o to get first with 7 fish not a bad bag we came in 4th with 3 fish wieghing 3p6o and i caught a 18 in walleye it was a beautiful day on the water it was a good trip all around bass were biting like crazy on a 2in white swim grub
  5. Did everyone quit fishing?? I am going to fish that crappie tourney at Stockton tomorrow and see how they are biting the only thing that sucks is i have 1 dozen shiners because the bait store is sold out for the next couple weeks so i had to improvise and get the crappie minnows hope they do their job for me this is the last trip for me this year out there so hopefully i can post some good results.

  9. I was just wondering if anyone has been doing any good crappie fishing at night because i definately have not any input would be appreciated
  10. you should be able to get into whites all summer in the back of flat creek or you used to be able to so use a rooster tail black or white are two good options
  11. OKay to make this short here chum sucker you dont make it down because you dont have a boat and third off you are fired from mowing but most importantly remember if you fish against me I will spank your a// and send you home to moma but i still love you.
  12. Well Cedar Ridge is what you are refering to it has been very slow around that area as far as I know,I fish crappie tournaments there and no one has done real great or even decent for that matter.I do not fish around ruark bluff often so no report there from me but if I was you I would try to put in at State Park area and fish around there that's where I have been going all year and still doing fair there so good luck to you and hope I was some help.
  13. Well it was another slow night it took 5 fish and 3lbs. to win we came in 2nd with 2 fish and every one else wieghed only 2 it has not been a very big bite lately around Cedar Ridge but man the catfishin is awesome right now you can't go wrong.
  14. Well I managed to bag my limit and my girlfriend got hers fishing the same point all day and about 2 hrs after dark it was almost like they were coming in then nothing then more coming in if you can stay in one spot on these fish and not move give it some time and you should do just fine. We were fishing in 18-22 ft with crappie jig heads and night crawlers it worked surprisingly well just let it sink to the bottom and wait take it up a couple turns. We also caught some good cats,a crappie and had just some awsome eatin blue gill now it just calls for heating the grease up. I just want to say thanks to Bob Bennet and Marty Thompson for sharing such crucial information with us and helping me target different species with different methods thanks guys and god bless good fishin to all.
  15. Went down today and went after some LM caught 10 keepers and can't tell you how many shorts they where holding tight in the brush and a few of them had shad in there mouths I caught fish in 4-25 ft of water real good all through out the day today we caught 4 channel cats on crawlers on a point in the back of a cove and had 2 walleyes that were 16 1/2 in. and 23 in. long so all in all we had a good of fun but man them small fish were real aggresive.
  16. Well I can tell you if you dont have a good spot to go that is holding fish good luck!!!I fish crappie tourney's at night and our last one 4 fish won and we came in second with 1 so I hope I could help but right now it is slow try the points on the main lake with crawlers and see if you can pick a couple up
  17. WENT DOWN YESTERDAY AND COULD NOT BELIVE HOW FAR THE WATER HAS DROPPED SINCE THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE. THE BRUSH THAT WAS HOLDING MY FISH IS NOW BACK ON THE BANK AND DRY.IT IS SIMPLY AMAZING THAT ALL THE BRUSH MADE SUCH A DIFFERENCE IN FISHING FOR ME

    Crappie

went down about 5:30 this morning and caught a few crappie around the state park area then as it heated up a bit went out trolling and caught a good 3lb wally and a real good keeper smallmouth i was fishing 30ft and dropping down 16-18 ft
  19. yeah you heard right vince caught 1 keeper crappie and 1st place only had 4 the other fellas caught a wally but no crappie all night. We must have had a dozen or so shorts and a couple channel cats. Just want to say many thanks to Vince from Matt and I. We owe you one buddy.
  20. I hear take the old man out to go and smoke him every time hell if your any thing like him you get used to not catching a dam thing!!!!!!!!!!Well tell the kids congrats on some good trout as I am heading down to Stockton tonight for a tournament
  21. I have caught some good catfish while crappie fishing on the right side of the bridge there but normally have to get there pretty early or some one has got that spot i think with the combo of the bridge pillars and cedar trees it attracts a ton of big gizzard shad and usually holds good fish if i had to go to fellows that's where i would go if you want real big catfish go to stockton lake caught one last week on a jug that was 23 lbs and they get way bigger than that hope this helps
  22. you got you some good fish there
  23. Bob you should do what the crappie tourn. did and put out flyers at Trantham's Bait and tackle I know them very well and can have him tell everyone that walks through his door I would fish them but don't have a big enough boat or an aerated livwell so count me out. I can share some info at Old Hartley Cove I have been going to the back of it and catching good keeper LM had one the other day that was 5 1/2 pounds and my boss caught one that was 5 2 weeks ago lots of keepers that went 15 1/2 all caught on white crankbaits or black buzz baits at night hope this helps we have been catching lots of LM

    Snakes

first off everyone is entitled to thier own opinion and as I will admit those are good shots of the black snake but if that was my fence i would have burnt that sob down with a quickness
  25. red how long did you plan this and how long have them fish been frozen????? look pretty stiff to me!!!!! glad the kids had fun too bad you didnt just fall over board or something that would have made for an interesting story.
