hey vince that is the area I fish quite often and when I talk to you tuesday I will let you know where a bunch of good spots are right around there and some good tactics to get them walleye. If you need to know sooner my cell phone # is 417-988-0925 and I will either come down and show you or I can tell you it would be easier to show you and I have not got to tie up and try it yet but found good tree's in a spot where i was trolling.

in my opinion i think you should either extend fishing time or move to a weekend deal i think ruark bluff ramp would be a good good ramp but mutton kinda puts you in the middle of all so you could go either way -
fisher you can do all the above and keep all three limits if you can catch that many i will not be attending this weekend but i will make the next one after that good luck to you if you head down sat
-
yeah hey bob thanks alot how much do you charge to guide some one around and show them some brush piles might be worth trying to figure out the brush pile in the middle of that cove had fish on it but we caught 3-4 in crappie not what you need in a tournament

no red bird there was not one this week but two weeks ago i came in dead last and only weighed in two fish that were a pound a piece i am un sure if i will be able to go this weekend on the 5th but if i do i dont expect to do much better i am hearing alot of bs talk about these tournaments being rigged and other people holding fish in there livewell until the other guys get launched and get out on the lake then taking fish to them also quite a bit of talk about them having friends come down and fishing to help them win but one thing is for sure i am not cheating because i only weighed 2 fish -

last week took 270 and weighed a limit with 11 lbs -
well went down today and did so so but the crappie are few and far between if you are trolling go shallow about 15-20 ft deep as the sun comes out and it starts to just get hott go into about 30-35 ft we caught into lots of largemouth had a 5 pounder 1 walleye 7 crappie 4 white bass the whites are starting to bite as we were casting cranks baits into the back of coves sitting in 15 ft run your bait about 5-10 ft if just casting out that lasted for most of the morning and just stopped and really turned off also picked a couple up really deep in 40-42 ft just got to look for the fish and search watch your depth finder it is your best friend on days like today when it is all slow but managable

thanks vince for posting the tournament again i posted it a few days ago but we do need more boats so they can pay out to more places but you are right it is fun. -
the crappie tournament that i fish needs more boats to enter it is $60 a boat with a 80% percent pay back the next tournament is the saturday after next the tournament runs 7pm-1am it is up to a 3 person tournament as the MDC won't let you throw back crappie after being put in the livewell due to stress on the fish you get to keep what you catch you weigh your biggest 15 plus big crappie gets a percent this event takes off out of cedar ridge public ramp if need to know more info let me know if i can awnser i will if not i will let you talk to some one who can thanks hope to see you out there.

have got to find a couple of trees or brush piles that are worth a crap as most i have found so far are not holding fish and if so not many going to have to run a little further it looks as i found 1 in the back of big branch and adams branch had 2 in the back of it not holding too many fish we heard that the bridge is a good place to fish but did not try it yet going to go down a few times this week and next to fish the area really good and see what we find
-
Going down to cedar ridge area with not a whole lot of experience there i fish else where on stockton i am going to fish a crappie tournament from 7:00-1:00 am was wondering if any one has trolled this area after the sun goes down if so all input helps
-
we launched at 5:00 this morning did not start out well really slow and short crappie made short run got into some good crappie my bro had a good walleye get off at the boat we had a total of 14 between the two of us by 4:00 and a small white bass not as many fish as i would liked to have caught but still got to be thankful for what we did get the water had to rise significantly by 10:00 this morning as you did not have to get wet to get to the dock and by noon the water was back up in the parking lot found most of my fish not schooled and in 15-30 ft scattered every where give the water some time to go down and fishing will pick back up as for the ski boats plenty of that at old state park not to mention the 40 people who are swimming at the launch ramp must not know that there is a beach 1 mile down the road with a swim area it's a joke stay away from that mess.

went down sat and fished sons creek area had 12 keeper crappie about 11 13 inches none had eggs but i caught them in 15-25 ft slow drifting and tieing up to trees fish were biting pretty steady in the heat of the day went back out that night and had 7 not so fast of a bite mine were on pink and white jig my partners were on minnows. Went down to high point area for about 4 hours this morning and had 2 big white bass 6 crappie that was big enough to keep and a bunch too short also picked up 2 decent walleye both real close to 17 in full of baby shad. We were trolling floating rapalas on light tackle in 10-12ft of water around points and structure both partner caught a 3lb. smallie and a small largemouth.Going down to ruark bluff tomorow and going to do some running for walleye's so see what happens good luck and best of fishing to all -
yeah we are fishing stockton but i cant tell you where at that is for you to find your own fish i just told you they were biting and got to have the right bait on
-
