  1. I am new to this forum but have fished TR for several years since I got my fishing boat. I stay on the Lake in Hollister and plan an annual trip every Memorial Day weekend. I know what you are talking about with respect to the boat traffic so I get up early to fish, and tag along with the lady to shop and eat for the rest of the day until sun down. I usually launch at a public area near Dale Road, east of Rockview resort and then motor over to their dock for the weekend. I heard that the small parking lot is under water and launching is not possible there. I called the park Marina and they said that there was no problem with launching there. Any advice? I would rather avoid being the entertainment during launching. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for the info Leonard. I am planning a trip Memorial Day weekend but will play on Table Rock for bass then. I will drive down to the outlet areas on Taney to see what there is to see.
  3. I just joined the forum tonight but I have fished the areas at the outlets for years. I have been following the reports on rain and water flows from Table Rock a lot lately. Since I do not come down enough unfortunately to recall how high the water gets with 2 turbines working, and of course with all the water that has been scouring Taney I have to ask. Can I wade the areas around the outlets and the boat launch like last year, or are there some dangerous surprises? Thanks.
  4. Hello from a life long fly fisher but still an enthusiastic amateur here in Kansas City. I love smallie fishing on Table Rock and of course trouting on Taney. I stay on Table Rock in Hollister when I come down which allows me to do both if I choose. I bring my boat down in the spring and fall when I decide to fish for bass on Table Rock. Otherwise, and especially in the summer I stay at the same place and drive over to the outlet areas and fish on Taney. I will post a question or two now and then. This is a great website. Thanks.
