Ok, my Mother and I are setting up a table at the Lakeview Community Center. Saturday May 26 What we have is my late father’s Fly fishing gear. So we have fly rods, reels, rod tubes, Ton of fly’s some he paid for some he made. Fly tying tools. Knowing my father, He didn’t buy it unless it was the best stuff at the time he bought it. All of this stuff was well taken care of with the rods in soft case then put into hard tubs. For the ladies my mother has a tote bags and table runners she made. So show up and get into a bidding war or please offer a real price for what it is really worth. It would real help if someone would look at what we have and tell us a fair price to ask. All proceeds will help fly my mother to see the family in PA.

I did know you could use shrimp for catfish. Dose squid work for anything here. It stays on the hook and the crabs drag it all over the place.

Not too make matters worse; you have to pay taxes on that money, it will be considered income on next year’s tax. We had to file for an extension because we moved around so much last year. So there’s no money for me.

Ok my questions for fishing around Mountain Home. What is a Tailwater? Is it any river below the dams? I have a medium ugly stick rod with 6lb test line. To catch trout on it should I use worms off the bottom or use a bobber or should I use something different all together. I also have an ultralite rod I would like to setup for spinners. How would you set it up with line weight and type of spinners? Where is a good place to start fishing off the bank around Mountain Home? Thanks

What I read so far about the lake does not sound too good. I might start thinking about fishing the river with a fly-rod. I will have to buy one and learn how to use that. Maybe it will clear up tomorrow and I can go for a ride around the area and talk to some folks about fishing.

I am from the coast of NC and just moved to Mountain Home. I do not know much about lake or river fishing. So I will have a lot of questions about all kinds of stuff from bait to what size hooks. I still have to get a fishing license and become a resident of AR. Since it is raining and cannot go for a ride through the countryside on my bike, I decided to research the fishing around here. Ran across your forum and had to sign up. I see a lot of people fishing by the bridge down 201 where it cross Norfork Lake. I was wondering what they might be catching or using for bait.
