  1. I am selling my River Boat I used this rig for fishing rivers, creeks, navigation channel. It is lightweight and easy to tow even with a smaller vehicle. Safe dry ride. Quick on the water even with 2 people on board. Has cushioned seats that pivot. Battery compartment is under the bow seat. All wiring is through the hull so is a clean clutter free floor. There is a recep in the stern for either using the 12v of the battery for the trolling motor or your filet knife/search light. I had this boat customized to be as fishable as a big rig. Comfortable and affordable to buy and operate. 14' Kevlar/Marine Fiberglass Spider Boat, Tan Color with dark brown trim ( 4 yrs old ) Spider Boats, 14ft Sportboat Peenoe Model Center Storage Compartment for gear or used as a seat 15HP 4 stroke Honda that sips the gas (2 years old just tuned up this March) Galvanized Trailer with spare trailer mount and tire. Eagle Sonar Minn-Kota Trolling Motor Marine Battery ( 1 yr old) Excellent Condition. One owner and has always been garaged. Wood Paddle Tagged for the next 3 years (Oklahoma) $3,200.00 I can email you pics if you are interested. Just respond if you would like to see some pics or to give me a call
  2. Well this Okie sure enjoyed hunting for those big Whites on the Rock over the Holiday. Thanks to all of the posters here for the great advice!!! Wow you all were sure right about the boat traffic. I was pretty well bounced out by the waves by 9:30am. If it wasn't the Lake Lice it was the Thunderstorms that made me head back to the Marina. I did find a few whites and a bunch of Kentuckies though. I caught one White that went 2.6 and a Kentucky that went 3. Found the Whites off of an island close to big cedar and the k's on an island straight back from there. Tough getting those k's to the boat with all of that jumping and spitting my plug back at me. I trolled roostertails behind a jet diver to catch both the k's and the w's. All in all a great trip. I will definitely be back when you guys say the spawn for the whites are on next spring. At that time I will probably have a better chance of catching that 4 or 5 pound white. Thanks again!!!!!!
  3. What part of the lake is attracting the most big boat traffic? or- is it just all over the lake?
  4. hey Martin (and all of the fellow posters) - if you all do not mind one last question. Would I be correct that a #4 hook is the size you referenced in replacing the stock Roostertail treble hook with? Thank you all and I hope to meet some of you out on the Rock sometime. I will be in a gray and black G3 V170 C V Hull with a 60hp Yamaha on it floating over a school of whites - come and join me please
  5. hey Martin this forum ROCKS that is for sure !!!!!! FYI: Where I come from the notebookers at http://www.fishing-notebook.com/forum/default.asp are in your league when it comes to professionalism and willingness to share their knowledge. This thread just gets better and better. I am studying hard and doing my homework. Thanks again to all of my Professors for this outstanding class
  6. Thanks again everyone!!!! hey Martin have you ever removed the front hook on the Magnum Hellbender rather than snapping on to the shank of the front hook?
  7. Thanks to all from this Okie that you have all made feel right at home here on your forum. My brother and I just fished a Crappie Tournament on Truman a few weeks ago. We were both very impressed on how well your state maintains it's lakes, ramps, campgrounds, roads and facilities. I am grateful for all of your direction, experience and willingness to share. I am really excited to apply all of your advice, locate those whites and put that 4lb'der in the boat
  8. Greetings from this new poster from Oklahoma. I am finally getting the opportunity to fish the Rock over this July 4th holiday. Myself and my family will be at Big Cedar. I am pulling my boat up there to fish for those huge white bass that this lake has quite a reputation for. I would sincerely appreciate any tips you can share with me on what part of TR lake in July will be my best bet to fish for those monster whites. Thank you all in advance !
