I currently fish a 19' Blue Wave CC with a Lowrance 28C Sonar/GPS mounted on the Console. Transom mount transducer. Really need a front deck Sonar for deep water fishing. Any suggestions on unit and/or transducer? Anyone using trolling motor transducer or should I go with the existing mount? Thanks for all the great posts on this site!! Incredible amount of info for us weekend fisherman.

Fished Lost Bridge area 7/10-12 w/o much luck. Caught one striper trolling near point 4 approx 30 ft over 60 ft water. Looked like guides were fishing closer to Dam area.

Anybody got out this week. I am coming down to try for a few days and hear the stripers are in the Lost Bridge area.

I have just got a place near Lost Bridge and after 20 years of exclusively fly fishing for trout back East am back to fishing Beaver. Two weeks ago I was out for the first time trying for top water stripers. After marking plenty of fish but failing to have any luck on Redfins we started to fish shallow and did pretty well on Bass. The best surprise was picking up a 4 lb Walleye on a crankbait. I would really like to put some more of these in the freezer. Has anyone figured where/how to catch them consistently on Beaver? I will put up anything I stumble into that is noteworthy.
