  1. Coming down tomorrow for a few days; probably be between Aunts Creek and Cape Fair. If you see a little Ranger (175vs) with a guy wearing a Mizzou cap who is working on an enormous birdsnest, stop and say hi. Assuming MU - kU in Conf Championship tomorrow at 5, is there a place for MU alums/fans congregate to watch them play? Regards Skip
  2. Try Bassboatcentral.com There are a couple dedicated HB forums with a lot of info including links to a lot of "how to" things.
  3. Thanks for the help Regards Skip
  4. Hello. Just got new ride (for me) - ranger 175vs and intend to install 'bird 570 DI. DI looks to be fun to play with Question - will the standard transducer work as well if it's installed thru the hull instead of on the transom? Thanks for your thoughts - you folks are extremely helpful. Regards Skip
  5. Long time lurker...lunch time at work I get on to see what's happening and day dream about being on the water. Planning to come down this eve - I usually stay at Hide-Away. With all the rain (and it appears the area is getting hammered again) is the lake fishable? And navigatible? Regards Skip
  6. Hello all! 1st post after lurking for a couple of years. Last summer, after > 20 yrs of no boat couldn't stand it anymore. Got a 96 Pro Team 18 with 96 Tracker (Merc) 75. Pretty nice rig for me since I'll probably use it half a dozen times/yr. Question - will a hydofoil allow trimming and maybe reduce bounce in rough water? Now with almost any trimming at all it porpoises. (I can just barely, barely touch the trim or it starts bouncing.) I figure trimming might reduce fuel consumption. I've also heard that foils might help out in rough water. (Was at Big Cedar last Jul 4 week and it was pretty bad after about 10 AM.) I've seen the "no drill" variety for about $130 and like the idea of no holes in the motor. If you guys think the foil would help and I get the 'RayXRIII should I get the "junior" - up to 75 hp; or "senior" 75+ ? Thanks for your thoughts.
