Did a little fishing this weekend on Spring River. Got a couple eatin size flatheads on jug lines, and caught a few carp on rod and reel. Andrew has been working with his baitcaster in the yard lately. He caught his first bass using it with a spinnerbait this weekend.

Spent a couple hours at the creek today with my son looking for some fish. Had to walk a little ways, but there is still a few in there. He outfished me 3 to 1, thanks to his secret bait, he says.

thanks guys, The goggle eye were hitting small plastics on a jighead. I caught a few bass on a larger jig with soft plastic, and some with a crankbait. fishin

I did a little fishing on shoal creek today. I caught a few goggle eyes, and some largemouth bass. Got one that was a toad. Sure hope we don't get a lot of rain this weekend and flood the creeks. Fishin

Thats cool when they start to feel bad for you I guess he had the hot bait for the day, my brother had the hot crankbait friday and wipped up on me. Good job Dylan

Nice fish, Them goggle eye sure are fun to catch. I did a short float today from allen to limekiln with the wife and kids. Seen a lot of people out fishing the creek today. I didn't get to much fishing done today but caught a few small ones. fishin -
Good job Dylan! Dont let Dad catch them all. Cedar creek is a great place to catch some minnows in your trap. I remember using a glass one when I was younger, they work the best. Fishin

I took a short float down shoal creek this afternoon. Caught quite a few smallmouth, some largemouth and a few goggle eye. Jigs and crankbaits were working, so thats what I used. Nothing real big, just a lot of fun pulling in fish. I saw a few deer and an owl along the way but couldn't get the camera out quick enough.

Buzz, I do a lot of quick wade trips close to the house to save on gas money. Where the creek runs by old scenic and hickory road t's off, is my closest put in. I went down river from there the other day and had to swim thru a couple spots. This year has been a change with all the water we got earlier, the creek moves along pretty well. fishin

Went to spring river friday looking to catch some catfish. Netted some shad, and baited our poles and a trotline and waited, and waited. The catfish were just not biting that night at all, caught 1 baby channel. Got up early with my son and went up river to see if any fish were busting the bait, no signs of feeding fish. Chunked a spinnerbait around coming back and managed to pull in a decent bass. Here is a picture of my brother and a buddy out catching shad, and the bass. fishin

Looks like you found a good honey hole! Those are some healthy looking fish for sure. I caught some bass out of the creek on thursday, but mine were all less than 12inches. Fishin

I sure hope not, because thats all I think about How many homes do you own? (that was just funny) Either one will probably let this country continue on the same path its going. I am not much for politics, people dividing into groups and thinking they are superior to the other group.

No. We didn't get to look in any caves, but I am sure he will start to look for them now. I didn't know there was any to explore. He has been taking the light most everytime we go fishing because sometimes we don't make out before dark

wildhunter, There hasn't been a lot of shad lately, but we are starting to see them come back. We netted them up around the docks above the piers. fishinSWMO

We caught a mess of channel cats Friday night and Sat. morning on spring river, using cut shad for bait. Nothing real big, up to about 8lbs or so, with the occasional gar and turtle.

Wily, We were just off the road along scenic drive, there is still a few places you can get to the water. Saw quite a few people floating the creek the short time we were there. Fishin

The wife and I took the kids to the creek for a little swim today. It Feels good to sit in the creek on a hot day. Andrew and Jack managed to get in some fishing close by. fishinSWMO
