  1. Patfish thanks for the kind words, Chief Greybear Thanks, Not sure where the Klondike area is, but we just parked at the bridge on 43 and went downstream. Not sure how far it is to Elk river but we didn't quite make it. Glad we brought the lights to walk back with. FishinSWMO
  2. Me and my son Andrew waded the creek yesterday. It had been a year or so since we were there last. Water was low and we did a lot of walking but the fish were hungry. Caught a variety of fish, mostly smallies. I think I caught more than him, but I caught the smallest and he caught the largest I am proud of him, he caught more fish that day on his own than any other time.
  3. Buzz, I am the same way on just fishing for all bass in general, I enjoy catching whatever hits my bait. I really enjoy flipping for rock bass on shoal creek. I target them sometimes but you never know when a good bass will suck it in, thats fun trying to get them over logs Using a flyrod is something I have not done yet. Casted a couple a few times, enough the last time that I started thinking it might be kinda fun. Maybe the wife will let me get one some day. FishinSWMO
  4. Buzz, I have mostly fished from the dam to tipton ford, break it up in different floats or wade. I was just thinking I used to catch many more smallmouth than largemouth or spots 10 years ago. I havent seen a lot of spots, just them and largemouth grouped together versus smallmouth. I did catch a nice spot the other day around 14 inches. Maybe its the lure choices, I have changed tactics quite a bit since then.
  5. Looks like you guys had a good float with some nice fish. I have never floated that far up, done some wading a few times. Its good to see some smallmouth caught. It May be me but it seems Shoal creek used to be more dominate smallmouth, now it seems I catch more largemouths or spots.
