Does anyone have any suggestions on what specific type of midges and scuds that may be useful this weekend? Also, anyone having luck with the San Juan Worm. If so what color?

My buddies and I are heading to the white next weekend and we are staying at Copper Johns. We use both fly rods and spinning rods. We will be fishing with rented Jons. Any suggested lures or flies that are hot right now. We generally fish at Taneycomo with hand tied jigs and spinning rods. From what I read, jigs will work (which colors?). What about fly fishing? San juan worms, y2k, egg patterns? I imagine we will be fishing around the resort, any better spots to fish around there. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

We will be in a boat. Does that change your suggestions? My buddy has a 16 foot bass boat (35hp engine). Do you think we should bring it down or just rent? He does not care if we bang bottom occasionally.

My buddy and I are heading to the White in October for a few days to fish for trout. We have generally fished Taneycomo in the past for trout but are intrigued by what the White has to offer. We were wondering if there is a location on the White that is better than others or a location that someone would suggest. We generally fish with both fly rod and spinning rods for trout. We like to use jigs when fishing with spinning rods. Given that the white is so large, we are curious as to an area on the White that would be a good area to start. We are only there a few days, so won't be able to cover a lot of water. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
