I figured it was still cold as of right now. But in the next coming weeks, it should be getting plenty warm. I am looking for 70+ water temps, it will be no problem getting up there quick. BTW- What is PSO?

I have a brand new Native Ultimate and I am dying to launch it in the river and chase some big stripers/hybrids. Is this safe or a danger? I would think that I could cover a lot more ground with it.

I am using a 9' #8 Sage xi2 with a 6' furled leader as well.

What is the current water temperature, does anyone know? Have you waded into the Arkansas before and would you do it again? I am new to the area and am tired of dragging the waders out, I am ready for it to be warm!

Oh and does anyone have any guide recommendations?

I will be making my first trip to the Lower Illinois and was wondering, if I should use a guide to learn my way around the river or just wing it by myself.

I have heard about it, and tried to contact someone from the website and have had no luck contacting anyone. I am willing to pay a membership, as long as I can get away from the crowds and enjoy some nice fish.

I guess no one wants to talk.
