Thanks for the kind words, Missou. Yep, hope to be back on the lake real soon after surgery December 9. I've got two to three tournaments between now and then though, so I'm going to concentrate on those and worry about other stuff later. Told Champ last night I'm jazzing to go fishing. Work is really cutting into my angling. lol Donna G

Mrs. Champ here. Thanks to all for the warm thoughts and prayers. Champ didn't mention that I got the doctors to agree to let me finish our tournament season before surgery. How bad is that? lol At any rate, as he said, the cancer was discovered early and the prognosis is good. We were told yesterday that complete removal of the kidney is best. The tumor is small, but in a poor spot for a partial. That's not all bad. I'll be down a shorter period of time then if they had done a partial. Heck, I might be ready for the annual Polar Bear tournament January 1 at Beaver. ha ha Donna G

Hello all. I signed up in August and have been lurking. When I decided to post I realized I had forgotten my password. Just got it reset this morning. I love bass fishing and competed in the Central Pro-Am circuit this year on the amateur side. I qualified for the championship my first year. I was really excited. It's been a blast. I met a bunch of great anglers who taught me a lot. Champ188 is my steady fishing partner. HE probably thinks I didn't learn enough since I lost two big fish in the Champion Boat Owners tournament this past weekend at Table Rock. Oh, yeah, and I boogered up the tailgate on his pretty truck. Something to do with jack knifing the trailer. Naw, he's a great supporter and my best friend. I just have to figure out a way to pay for the deductible on the truck. Hmmm. Maybe if I landed the big ones, I'd cash a check. lol Looking forward to hearing from you. Donna G
