  1. Yep. Seems like I'm hogging this topic page. Went down on the Sept. 15 and the water is gin clear. I'm talking about the kind of water and weather conditions you usually only see on an Outdoor Life cover photo. Fish are mainly 10 inchers. we did catch a few larger rainbows and a brown that had that deep bronze color that makes you think that some of the fish are coming upstream from the river. Had most of our luck on brown or green jigs. Orange and green worms worked well also.
  2. Went fishing on Aug. 10. Pheeeew! talk about contrary to biting. Fished with everything from #24 nymphs to powerbait. Fishing is so slow even the gentleman with the Double D Bait fishing vest commented how slow it had been lately. You just gotta know this fellow has the stream memorized. Fish are small stockers, maybe 10 inchers. Had much nicer fish earlier in the year. We did catch 2 nice ones though but brother they are few and far between. If you go down bring your patience with you. Had results on jigs and rooster tails. Not so much with nymphs and bait.
  3. Beware the fat guy with the Orvis waders and the Fenwick hat. There were 3 of us with 3 kids under the age of 10 trying to get the kids interested in fishing. Remember the take a kid fishing credo round man? You had to fly fish right in the middle of us and then get stressed because the kids coulnd't reel in fast enough for you when you hooked a small rainbow creating a tangle. Remmber tubby that the kids were fishing the area first before you walked in on us. The next time you decide to use rough language around 2 girls and a boy under 10 because you had to game hog it I will be happy to show you new places on your body to hide your split bamboo fly rod.
  4. Tried fishing below the bridge 2 weeks ago. Some nice size trout but not a large catch. If you are fishing with kids I'm afraid they will get bored quick.
  5. Fishing was above average on 4-27. Minnows at 2 to 3'. Jigs were fair using chartreuse and red but you had to swim the jig in structure not just bob it. Nice fish though from 11 to 13". Took 3 of us 4 hours to get the limits. Good Luck.
