Where is needles eye??

Thanks, guys. Can you tell me approximately when the crappie and bass spawns begin up around Shell Knob?

I guess my question was pretty open ended. But the problem is, my approah is open ended. I have plenty of tackle and experience with bass and crappie. However, I havent' fished the clear water of the rock before so i know my strategy has to change (at least for bass). I'll be down there in a couple weeks for the first time and then probably about 1-2 times per month thereafter. I know April-May is probably some of the best (easiest) fishing, right? As for a boat, we've got a cruiser so I'll probably just be using my little 10' fishin boat and/or renting a small tracker from campbell point for a few hours here and there. If I get lucky, I might persuad a buddy to tow his bass boat down there in April... All I'm looking for is a little guidance on where/when to begin. And yes, Peter...the 'hut is still there along with some awfully mean steaks at "Steak Inn" on the other side of the bridge. Thanks in advance for the help!

We're keeping our boat at campbell point marina in shell knob this year and I'm wanting to try some fishing this season. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction in that part of the lake? I'll chase pretty much anything that swims, except Missouri bonefish. Would really like to target some wallys and then some LM and SM bass. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I agree. TR is large and the extra horses will help you.
