  1. Great report!!!! And glad you had a good time here on Norfork. This fishing remains good, tho it does apprear a pattern change is on the way. Stripers are moving back towards main lake haunts, and the bass will be in the post spawn. Doesnt mean they cant be caught, but the same thing wont continue to work!!! The lake will fish great all year and it appears that there should be water in the bushes for sometime.

  3. Fishing stickbaits is the choice right now. I fished the cystic yesterday and talked to a few buddies who were fishing them on the main lake and were catching walleye. Definantly the bait of choice.
  4. Hey Guys, Fishing here on Norfork Lake is getting pretty good right now. If your looking for some good striper fishing it on right now. Went out last night with a couple of guests and we had a great night throwing stickbaits at dark. The bass fishing is great and just getting better. Whites are being caught.....a great time to be fishing the lake. Doug
  5. The walleye are right out in front of you. Bass fishing in Float, Panter, and Fall creeks is right around you too!!!!
  6. The bass are biting phenomenally. My best bait is a swimbait after the sun is up, topwater at sunrise is awesome. Stripers are on top first thing in the morning. Look for them in the upper on secondary points busting the shad. White bass are on great in the backs of the creeks and a sassy shad will knock the fire out of them. I dont think there is a bad part of the lake to fish right now. Good fishin' Doug
  7. Hey guys its time to get down here. The fishing is phenomenal right now. Smallmouth are on fire on topwater and swimbaits, white bass are rocking in the backs of the creeks, and the topwater striper bite is on!!! Largemouth and kentuckies are plentiful as well. It won't get any better than it is right now.
  8. This is a much needed service for Norfork. As a resort owner, I have guests with boat issues regularly. Please come by an introduce yourself, and leave some cards. I am sure we will be using your services here at Sunrise Point. Doug
  9. Give us a look at www.SunrisePointResort.com. We have our own boat dock, and rentals are available at nearby Tracy Ferry Marina. Our phone number is 888-887-7878. Thanks, Doug
  10. Norfork Lake is in great condition right now as the levels have gone down since the spring floods and the water is clean!!! Mention this post, and recieve an additional 10% off of your reservation. Give us a look at www.SunrisePointResort.com Thanks, Doug
  11. Just a thought to you guys who like to go catching, and not just fishing. The white bass are are plowing shad in the backs of creeks right now. Went out with my son and a Guest Saturday morning and caught 150 if we caught one. Hit a spook and a rattle trap all morning. Be a great way to spend the Memorial weekend!!!!!! Doug
  12. Thanks Larry. That is the same area that I have been fishing. I did go into the back of the second cove yesterday, and saw several balls of threadfin but no fish. The first cove is generally better for me. The whites had been in there thick this past week off the secondary points towards the dock in that area. Figured I should have thrown a jig in front of the deeper brush. I left there and went up, as I have not been above 5-a for a couple of weeks, but things have gotten just too shallow now (I think). There is a nice point and bluff wall that will usually put out fish even in lower water conditions up there but not a bite. Thanks for sharing your information. Doug
  13. Went out today for a short time. I have been on fish in Float creek for a while now so I thought I would head up there again, especially with Larry's report. Started throwing a spinnerbait first thing and caught one nice keeper and two shorts, then it was over. Probably should have put on the jerkbait, but that is one of my worst baits that I fish. I suppose I should go out with nothing but one, and learn it better. The white bass and hybrids, and stripers were no where to be found. Last week my boy and I had been having a ball with them on a spoon in Float. Larry, are you fishing above or below 5-A in float? Doug
