Sounds good to me. My fishing time has also been limited, but the Current is a great stream in Sept/Oct, even into November.
Did you use any streamers on the Current? I've been experimenting on size, style and color and haven't really found a solution. A lot of guys have told me that it's not a 'streamer river' meaning the trout go more for midges, nymphs, soft hackles etc., and of course tricos and caddis when the activity is on.
I've had a lot of fast turns/follows and a few hits. I've lost a few 16"-18" browns on various streamers. I've also caught my largest brown on the Current with a streamer. Guess I'm sprung on this technique because of the visible strikes/turns/follows, and, a few hook ups. Another guy told me I should work on the strip-strike to set the hook.
