  1. This is the way I fished before taking the fly rod up again, but, it was in lakes in WA. Similar set up, water bubble, half-full, small barrel swivel, only about 4-5 feet of leader, and a wet fly. Cast to rise, retrieve slowly, twitch...
  2. Gotta get some bucktail...yellow, white, pink, olive...
  3. I think I passed you on my way back upstream. I ran into the spin fishing guys. Same story as you, 6 fish in AM, 2 in PM, no big ones. Did land two in AM on big bugger flies.
  4. Wool head needs work, not enough on top there. I can give out the recipe if you guys want it.
  5. Uh, that's my streamer, not casted very well. Now everyone can copy it. It was tied on Maxima, can't remember the size. I was not watching my throw...
  6. Nice fly design, reminds me of Mr. Schmidt's bucktail flies from MI. Excellent vid!
  7. Nice, looking forward to it.
  8. Looks like an efficient crew of mowers.
  9. Speaking of streamer flies, uh, when's the new video of the Barely Legal coming? Can't get on the water, gotta go tie, right? Just sayin...heh heh...
  10. Nice brown, Royal Wulff, wow...best times for fishing have not been early for me, 8-10AM or so, then late PM.
  11. Please, I recant, please...
  12. I'd love to see the N. Fork developed. Have never fished the Niangua. I agree with the general trend of bigger browns.
  13. I didn't know I had so much influence...
  14. Same thing happened last year when we were coming down to the N. Fork...I know, we need the rain...c-r-a-p....;(
  15. Fishing bud the Jedi reported to me a coupld of days ago that it was really low, super skittish fish, and just a few small ones landed. It needs the rain.
  16. It was very frustrating last summer during the low water when the big browns moved up into the cooler park water, only to be taken. More enforcement of the reg's would be nice in the Blue Ribbon section, but I've harped on that one quite a few times. We should write/email MDC like Gavin suggests.
  17. Caddis Fly Oregon Fly Fishing blog--Here's the link, and Mr. Wise commented. Good job representing our big crew... http://oregonflyfish...ated-streamers/
  18. Yeah I forgot about the blog, good work there.... heh heh...
  19. That's what I'm talking about, two rivers fished. Heading down there in less than 2 weeks, tying frantically...
  20. Some nice smallie/beer action there...
  21. Can't wait for the Barely Legal, the tying video by you that is...
