  1. There is a lot of shoreline accessible areas around the dam, especially around State Park. The area between State Park and the Corps office is all accessible from the bank, and is good fishing as well. The face of the dam to Moonshine Beach is also accessible from the bank. Plenty of areas and plenty of fish to be caught right in the area you are looking.
  2. What's a dairy point?...Is that like up in Yokum Cr. or Big Brushy where the cows are standing in the water? Do you think the added nutrients from the cows are making the fish bite better in these locations?
  3. MDC has a GPS app for iphone, android and blackberry called "Find MO Fish". I have used it on Bull Shoals to find some of the brushpiles they put in. It looks like it has points on most of the good lakes in MO as well.
  4. Young's Lakeside Tire over at Mt. Branson. close, good prices, great service.
  5. that is a left handed ruger 77 stainless.
  6. from the pic, it looks like a northern water snake. non-venomous.
  7. i will be very specific here so anyone reading can get the points. The webpage is http://newmdcgis.mdc.mo.gov/tablerock/ For a Humminbird, you must download HumminbirdPC from the humminbird website. Lowrance also has a GPX. to USR. utility available on the Lowrance website. HUMMINBIRD 1. download the EasyGPS software to your computer. 2. choose what waypoints you want to have. these can be sorted on EasyGPS. 3. save the file to your computer. 4. open the humminbirdPC program and load the downloaded gpx. file to the program 5. in the HumminbirdPC program select the gpx. file and download it to your SD card. once the waypoints are on your SD card, the way to upload the files are dependant on your specific unit. the sidefinder units will automatically load them once the card is in. Hope this helps. 4.
  8. I know that fishing during the day has been tough for most. I have been out multiple times in the past couple of weeks and finding quite a few fish. Wont help much with the tournament anglers, cause i have been going from 5pm-11pm. the fishing has not been "hot and heavy" by any means, but i have found at least five keepers each time. Darker, shad colored spinnerbaits have been working until it gets "dark, dark" then i have been experimenting with different colored single spins: red, red-black, black, black-purple, etc. The fish are not usuallly tearing the rod out of my hand, but you can feel the bites well. Good luck!
  9. Ozark lingo...Like "small-jaw"?
  10. Does the border lakes permit allow you to fish any water between Mo and AR? I thought it only worked on the border lakes in the White River? That is why it is the White River Border Lakes Permit. But, to answer the question, an AR license or the "WRBLP" will let you fish on lower Bull Shoals.
  11. I am curious, what is a "SJ"? I have read this on some other posts, but just cant figure out what the acronym stands for. I assume, that it is some form of bass being that it was a nice one at 4.5lbs. Please explain? Also, i was thinking about the "pig" being full of eggs. Before I read that, I assumed that since it was caught on a Redfin that it was full of SHAD. I have not seen any fish lately that have been "full of eggs", but lots of fish that are full of shad and crawdads. Seems the more obvious answer to a "pig". Thanks. RBY
  12. The larger feeder creeks will produce the best on the lower lake. Theodosia arm is a good example. try both bluff walls and shallow flat points with the jerkbait. That is all the info i can give. Wouldnt be right to give away all the secrets.
  13. Go to http://www.swpa.gov/generationschedules.aspx. or Call 1-866-494-1993 These will tell you when and how many generators will be turned on. Do the research and you can fish as much as you want.
