Plan on making my maiden voyage to fish Taneycomo next week. Anyone have advice, where to fish, what flies to use, techniques used to catch fish. Lilley tell john and the kingfisher crew hello next time to talk to them.

I am a newbie to fly fishing and live in northern oklahoma. I am planning a possible trip to Taney around the 20th of December. Is this a good time to go? I would love any other suggestions about where to stay, what to take , and what flies to use.
