Yes, I have invented a plastic detachable rod tip that requires no glue to stay on. it threads on like a electrical wire nut connector with tappered threads inside for gip. You can purchase them from me or look in sports houses this year, My new design is for a quick fix called Grip Tip" it can be used as a temporary fix or permanent solution to the broken rod ends. It faster and easier than the metal ones now, mine is new and unique compare and let me know, Regards, Roland
