  1. here are a few of the pics
  2. Had a great time on the lake last week. We fished about everywhere from Rocky branch to about 10 miles up both rivers. We chased stripers the entire time but didnt have much luck. We would catch one or two each day, biggest a 27lber on the last day of the trip, most in the 7 to 12lb range. Best luck was on smaller sized shad and a few later in the week on big shiners. Caught several small largemouths and spots, one smallie, a crappie and 2 sand bass, one being a 3lb 11oz toad up the white river. Saw water temps from 49 on the main lake to 60 way up the War Eagle.
  3. Thanks LarryC. I am off on the great shad hunt tonite, then will be headed out in the morning.
  4. Finally going to get back to the lake on Tuesday, and stay through the weekend. We ended up staying at the Hide Away campground due to all the corps sites being closed. Looks like we will start fishing the rocky branch area then move down and launch in the rivers if we come up empty. Are there any good places to eat around Rocky Branch? I have heard something about a chicken shack at Monte Ne that is suppose to be good stuff. Also do most of the marinas at the lake have fuel on the water? Thanks guys, and i will report back when i get back.

    Help!

Thanks guys, the lady at the Hide Away helped us out and got us a place. Now how about some info on that area of the lake, I am only familar with the rivers. Are there any short cuts to any ramps to access the river area of the lake? Thanks guys, you saved our trip.

    Help!

Sounds like all of the campsites around the lake are closed until they can get the ice storm mess cleaned up. 3 buddies and I are headed over there on the 17th and had planned to camp for 5 nights, and now it looks like we will have no where to stay. Does anyone know of anywhere we could pitch a few tents and have somewhere to plug in our battery chargers at night? We would like to stay near the south end of the lake, but at this point anything will work. PLEASE HELP!

    Mid-march

I have gone at that same time the last few years, and will be there again this year that same week. Everytime we have gone we have not had to leave the river area to find what we were looking for so i can't be of much help on the other end of the lake. We will be staying at Hickory if they have sites open, stop buy if you would like.
  8. I will be there March 16 to the 20th, will have reports shortly after that. Plan to stay around Hickory and work my way up the rivers. If the linesiders dont cooperate i will chase crappie, smallies or anything that bites. Will post a report for sure.
  9. Hey guys, love the board. I only get over to Beaver about once or twice a year, but it is always a big trip when we go. I live about 5 hours away in western OK. Last year was rough on us, had to move campsites twice due to the high waters, then when we got one we had a tornado blow through to close for comfort. We stuck around and fished and ended up catching some nice stripers, nothing over 14lbs though. Planning my trip this year around the middle of March. We always stay down around Hickory, as the water levels allow, but have thought about expanding our horizons, in fact I dont believe we have ever made it out on the main body of water. I always keep an eye out here, dont often have much to say unless you are fishing down south, but if anyone ever fishes the western half of OK let me know and i can help you out. Tight Lines.
