  2. My nieghbor has a 40 hp and has been going to Fellow's for the last month or so saw them tonight when they back had 26 keepers none under 12 in. using shiners didn't see these but he told me his brother and brother's wife had 30 none under 11 in. Sounds to me like I need to invest in a 40 hp and get in on that action.Fellow's is doing better than Stockton I am at the wrong lake.I was told just the minimum but sounds like 18-20 ft and suspended watch your graph for large school's also a chart./black road runner hope this helps.
  3. Well 2 of my buddies set out at 7:00 pm last night not aware of the cold weather we got or the fog. This is the second time they have even been to Table Rock.So they take off to night fish with no GPS no depth finder and no know how!!!! Well they get lost in the fog with nothing but a hooded sweat shirt on and low's in the 30's.So for 6 and a half hours they sat freezing to death with nothing to do but fish and kill time until day light so they could see where they were. They were throwing spinner baits with a gold blade where ever they were since they have no idea. I saw 7 keepers 2 smallies about 3lbs. and 2 LM that were every bit of 5 and the rest were just barely 15-16 in. range not too bad for a night of freezing cold weather, thick fog and terrible navigation. Not to mention why did they keep all them bass especially the smallies. I guess if I didn't have fish in the freezer I would do the same
  4. Put in at Hawker about noon started crappie fishing no good so decided to start bass fishing also no good figured why not try to troll a crankbait a little had a really nice size walleye at the boat and lost him trying to get my net and that was the only bite I had all day. Luck went the other way for my uncle Chad he won the U.S.A Bassin tournament with 18 plus pounds congrats for a nice bag of fish. I was told stick baits in the wind off main and secondary points in 8-20 ft of water is what they used to win. I had water temps from 49 at noon to 56 by 5:00 pm water is very clear you can see bottom in 15 ft of water if your bass fishing I would not throw a chomper grub in Rootbeer/Green flake color I threw until my arm was tired and had no takers. Saw 3 people catch limit's in the back of Hawker right on the bank.
  5. No tourney's here as far as I have ever known but hey I have been wrong before. But usually right
  6. If you head back towards the Springfield Lake Park that whole bank you get to both sides are really good bass fishing try using a 6 in. berkely power worm in solid black that's what I always caught my good fish on. There are also a few crappie spots but it is too cold still in my opinion.
  7. I found a ton of crappie schooled deep in 26-38 ft of water but the trick is to get them to bite like I said I was using shiners got one pull but was too slow setting the grub pole down to set the hook.I would have thought they would hit my shiner before my grub but I have been wrong before. The place I was fishing was a new spot that I had yet to try it was supposed to be a back-up in case my go to spot was miserable. So far the spots i got are all firing up and working at the same time don't know how long it will stay but I will keep you posted
  8. My boat was in 26 and I was dropping down about 10-15 ft. caught 4 on a road runner and the others on a white grub
  9. I put in last night at State Park only had about 3 hrs. to fish so just decided instead of running to sons creek I was going to fish this area I found last week bass fishing it was about a 5 min run from State Park so it would give me more time to fish I caught 10 keepers and 1 short in a 2 hour period then it started to get dark so I decided to head back my biggest was a black crappie about 14 in. none where caught on minnows all on plastics
  10. Well Shaker I would say it is over but could be wrong I think the 2 cold fronts we got just shortly after we started to see the whites show up at Taylor/Steel Bridges forced the whites to head back out to the main lake now if they went a head and spawned out in the main lake or not is a question even I would like to no. The last time I went to Taylor we didn't do worth a darn so I would say they just are not in there and have not been in there in numbers like they were last year. I saw alot of people catching them right at the Aldrich Bridge area and High Point which kinda told me they were not in the river no more. I will say that normally this time I start catching quite a few nice whites around high point trolling may be give it a week or so before trying it but I would think that would be your best bet if trying to catch white's hope I helped Brandon Inman Be Safe,Have Fun and Catch Fish
  11. The Tourney is Sunday April 19 at The Stockton State Park from 7-3. 30 dollar entry fee a boat with big crappie optional. I fished almost all these tournaments last year and it's alot of fun and good people.
  12. Chad no pictures but definately a memorie that will last a life time you would have had to be there, going back Wed and Sat to pre-fish for this Crappie Tourney you should come fish it
  13. RPS I just want to say Tornado don't you mean HURRICANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice One
  14. Well I can only say that I did no it was supposed to be windy but when we got there it was not that bad.I have fished Stockton alot and I have been caught in storms and wind before but nothing like this it was to the point where even as much as I love to fish I was not having fun but I did have my first keeper by 10 am and that was awesome my dad and I have not bass fished for probably every bit of 5 years maybe more and boy could you tell our equipment was falling a part but I guess that's part of the bonding experience!!!!!!!!!!! Be Safe Have Fun and Catch Fish
  15. Also would like to just throw this in to yesterday was rough and in my personal opinion dangerous and I am glad that I had my Dad with me so his boating experience could get us home Thanks
  16. Well I guess what tornado are you talking about I did not hear any thing about a tornado but if you wonder what it is like blue marlin fishing go to stockton
  17. Well Dad and I set out this morning at about 8:00 at Old State Park wind was blowing but not too awful bad ran to Hawker no fish so moved a little way's caught a 16 1/2 in LM then ............ The top of my trolling motor breaks completely off and to top it off is stuck down and won't come up so while I got Dad up on the bow with screwdriver's in hand trying to get this fixed we blow strait into the point we are fishing and are now beached up on a island!!!! Well with a little effort we got set back up and went to the middle of the lake to fix the trolling motor. So after 15 more minutes or so and a roll of electrical tape later we are back in good.Looked around didn't see no boats for a long time so we decide to head back to Old State Park when we saw 3 1/2 ft white caps at least well needless to say is that 16 ft 9 in boat I got don't like it. When we left there was not another boat in the parking lot

Hey Vince have not heard from you in a while.Have you heard if they are going to have the Crappie Tourney this year? I have been catching most of my crappie in between Aldrich/High Point area on shiners with a bobber rig about 4ft from your shiner just look for any timber and use your finder we also did well using road runners Chart/Black have not had a short yet most around 11 1/2 inches.Going to State Park Sat. let you know how I did. Brandon Inman
  19. Well now that I got me another boat all I need is a day with out severe weather and I am gone I have seen quite a few people catching big and I mean big whites 3lb range easy from high point trolling cranks every where saw most of them caught right off the big stretch of rock across the lake to the right of the ramp they had limit after limit right before dark last week unfortunately I was stuck on the bank not catching any whites but a few LM with one 2 lbs. lot of LM on them rocks real shallow 1-2 ft water
  20. We went yeaterday to taylor I caught a good male in the first 5 min and then it was all small LM I saw alot of crappie chasing small bait fish on to the gravel I was fishing on a fella down aways caught 1 decent crappie and gave it to me.There was no other fish even caught that I saw when I left at noon. Just curious if any one did better towards the evening.
  21. What did you catch your crappie on?
  22. I will save you some fillets BRBF since you was nice enough to take me fishing but I can say it was a cold S.O.B!!!
  23. Went down this morning with BRBF and it was slow we caught 2 incredibly small males maybe 8in. a carp and a few small bass everyone we talked to said they had not caught any thing except for a few that had 1 or 2 small ones did talk to one guy that said he had 10 whites and at least 10 crappie but I didn't see him catch any thing while we were there.Saw a couple fellas catching crappie out of the tree's but they said only one big enough to keep.We graphed alot of fish in the Aldrich area all over but could not get bit. I think the cold front did a number on these fish but this evening might be better.Only saw one white caught at Taylor today but it was a good size male.
  24. I went down today with BRBF and went all over the lake and river we caught 2 small whites maybe (8 in.)and a few small bass also a carp. It was definately tough talked to almost every one in a boat said 1 or 2 keepers by 3:00 this after noon also alot of boat traffic and heavy pressure all along the Iron Bridge to taylor saw a few crappie caught but not many.I am going to Taylor bridge tomorrow for a while I will let you know how i do
  25. Is any one heard of any crappie off the bridge there yet? I saw 2 guys at the bait store said they where heading down earlier today so I was just wondering if they are catching any
