LEBHUNTFISH

Hey guys I know the weather has warmed up in the past few days and I was wondering who has made it to the water, and how they did. I haven't made it in the past few days but I am going either tomorrow or Sunday. Let us all know how your trip was and good luck on the water.

Well guys I am from the Lebanon area originally and I fished a lot at Bennett Springs for trout. I fly fish there and let me tell ya people are just rude, but I found that if your the @$$ and act like you don't know what you are doing (casting crazy like) they tend to stop being rude. Its also kinda comical when you work your fish over to them and raise your rod tip to make the fish splash them and get them soaked. But that's something that I used to do to a buddy. LOL I personally don't like having to act that way but be all pay good money to go fishing at our favorite spot each year no matter where its at and other people needs to respect that. If you still have problems with someone just get tangled up with them (your fault or theirs) and instead of spending the next 30 min untangling their line from yours just bite theirs off and keep the bait. I also found if you will respond to them like, excuse me for wanting a place to fish. They tend to give you a little more room. Again I don't like being a prick but I am fed up with other people that are pricks. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks fellas, it sure is nice to have this water this close to home. I will try to do some bass fishing at Springfield lake and concentrate on the whites and crappie and walleye at fellows. Binman I would love to take you up on that offer about the boat thing I don't have one but I love to fish from a boat. If we can get together on a weekend sometime maybe I can convince my wife to go with us if that's ok with you. She likes to fish and likes to fish from a boat but she aint good with going with someone she don't know. I think from the sounds of things that I can use my best judgment about eating the fish from annoyware until I see a warning put out. Thanks again and does anyone have any fishing reports?

Hey guys I'm new to the area and just a week or two ago I found out I had a lake about 15 min from my house. (never had that luxury before, wahoo) I was wondering what everyone's opinions are as far as eating fish from Springfield, Fellows, and MC Daniels Lakes. I was also wondering if a man could find out what is biting and where to go to catch them from the bank. Maybe some white bass and some crappie and maybe even some walleye. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey guys I just wanted to say hello, as I am a new member but I am not new to the sport of fishing or the out doors. I just found this forum a few weeks ago and have been reading a few post and found it to be quite insightful. And I am new to Springfield area and have been wanting to do some fishing at Springfield lake and at fellows lake and maybe MC Danial lake as well. So I have been looking up info on them and that is what brought me to this website. I a 30 years old and have a wife and one little girl that is 9 and I am what I like to call a displaced redneck. I was born on a dairy farm about 15 miles NW of Lebanon and I just moved to the city and I am having a little trouble adjusting. But anyways I love to fish and hunt and camp so maybe I can learn something from y'all about my new environment.
