  1. I am new to the forum. I have fished table rock my whole life and have things pretty well figured out. I love to walleye fish on table rock, however, it is hit or miss. You are either on them or not. I have gotten some pretty big ones though. I fish for whatever is biting at the moment and am not picky, just happy to be catching fish. I also fish lake oahe in south dakota for walleye as it is a pretty sure thing as long as you hit weather and water conditions right. I am from St Louis but have a house at Kimberling city. I always hear alot about Bull Shoals walleyes, but it, like Table Rock is a pretty big lake. Can someone please give me some ideas on where to start on the lake and when to fish these areas. I LOVE to troll for walleyes with crankbaits and believe it is one the most exciting things to do. It is just cool to see a big eye sliding to the boat with a crank in its mouth. Where should I put in at. Also what is this about night fishing for walleyes under lights? I have never heard of this except on Bull Shoals. It sounds interesting can someone fill in the blanks for me. I Will be more than happy to give back any fising information I have. I troll ALOT on Table Rock and have caught everything, walleye, HUGE crappie, white bass, rock bass, kentuckies, catfish you name it. It is a blast. I fish out of a Ranger 620VS multispecies and it is set up for trolling flatlines, planer boards, downriggers you name it. With my job, I am fortunate to have alot of time to fish, and fish a number of missouri lakes. I fish Lake of the Ozarks, Table Rock, Thomas Hill Reservoir and Truman ALOT. If anyone is ever looking for information on these let me know. Thanks alot, Jason
  2. I was up at Bagnell Dam the weekend before last. I have fished up at bagnell for a number of years and have caught alot of hybrids up to 15 pounds amongst every over fish that swims up there. As of a couple of weeks ago the water tempature was 38 degrees. The crappie, kentuckies and everything for that matter was laying belly to the bottom. I ended up getting 3 keeper walleye and a couple of short ones, down a short way from the dam. It was a very, very light bite. Had to vertical jig for them. The crappie and kentuckies were caught in the same manner. I also managed to get a 6 and 15 pound blue. The water tempature is a little cold for the white bass and hybrids, just wait about another 3 weeks, the water should warm up and they should kick in. Over all I had a pretty good trip. I am probably going to go back up in a couple of days. Will let everyone know how it goes.

  4. Kings river seemed kind of slow as far as white bass and crappie go, James river near Canes Bottom is another story, 2 limits of white bass over the past 2 days with a good number thrown back. There was a few crappie up the James, but with the white bass hitting like that, I just as soon catch them. They were suspended in about 6 foot of water. white 1/16th ounce jigs were the trick. Love catching the whites!
