Went there today. There was plenty of water but no sign of trout. The stocking of area lakes will start early next month. Hopefully they will begin stocking then.

Drove over on the 28th when the website said they would not be releasing from 12:00 noon til 5:00 pm. Guess what... water was jammin. Wadered up and stayed close to the bank and managed to catch a fish. I was supprised to see lots of dead shad drifting by,I thought the shad kill was over. The water clearity was much improved from the previous trip. Used a white wooly and caught the one fish but with the fast water that was surprisingly Ka Ka Kold I did not last long. Got my fingers crossed for this weekend. Hope to see slower water and a sprinkling of you fine folks out there. Packrod Have Takle Will Travel

I went down Tue the 23rd. Water was up and really murky. Visibility 1 inch maybe. Spent an hour at a favorite spot and got nothin, not a hit, saw no rises at all. So headed upstream to a pool with 7 other people. Caught 40 or 50 fish standing in one spot. A memorable day, saw a Mink for the 1st time in my life. I can't even hazard a guess as to the absense of fish downstream.

Thanks for the post dgames. I will twist up some black woolies tonight and see if they can save the day for me as well next time. I did try throwing a black roostertail on my buddies spinning rig hoping to at least get a hit, but the only hits I got were from debri headed for the Arkansas.
