i went out to a log pile with some fresh bluegill for flathead's and catalpa worm's for blue's or channel's.
i got to the log pile '' this was 3 day's ago'' with my flathead setup ready to go,put on the bluegill and got him in the water and the catalpa worm.
then picked up my bass rod cause i was at the mouth of a creek with just to much swirly water to pass up.
my flathead poll took off....so i droped my bass pole and let him take it for about another 3 second's...he was biting it weird though???
i figured a flathead and that small of bluegill he would just gulp it up and go.
3 and a half pound largemouth that was sitting in them log's wanted some of that little bluegill,he got it...and i got him.
then my catalpa worm was getting some good bite's and i set the hook.....normal sized white bass.
i thought what the hell's going on,im catching all the bass on catfish stuff.
then i was fishing a crawdad colored crankbait around the log's where the 3 pounder came out of and caught a 2 pound spot.
went back downriver and fished a small eddie by the bridge and got a 3 pound channel.
that was my afternoon on the osage and everything was released.
i'll be going to bagnell monday afternoon to try and get lot's of bait for my trip to indiana and try and get into big flat's n blue's,here monday and there when i get there.
for those of you that dont have google earth, you should get it, i have found lot's of fishing hole's that i didnt even know where there.
if you do check out the river at grayville indiana and that's where we are going flathead fishing....2nd time out for just one certain fish.
it's a old train bridge it look's like that's fell apart in the middle right in the river and a GIANT logpile right on it with a sandbar behind and in front of the brigde.
