If you love the Crane, then remember that when an enviromental group such as the Sierra Club steps up to the plate to protect it. The same eviromental groups that are denigrated, scoffed at and and called tree huggers by so many as they fight in administrative courts and then federal courts for the spotted owl, some small fish or whatever, are the same that all of us will need if the Crane is going to be preserved, protected and not lost to reservoir. Is the Crane going to be possibly destroyed for a corporate farm/ranch?

My kids and I love to canoe and fish below Beaver for our vacation together. We're not proficient enough where I will do it in higher water. Can someone tell me the lower tailwater mark for canoeing, ie, when it is low so I would feel safe about taking them out, so we can plan our vacation? We stay in Cassville, visit Tim, fish Roaring River and spend a day on the Beaver tailwater, canoeing and fishing and spend a day at Silver Dollar City. I had wanted to go in June to get a little cooler weather, but the water has been high, as far I can tell, that now we're talking about the end of July.
