Put in at CC Saturday morning about 5:30 and fished until about 11 am. Caught 10 bass. 2 at about 3 lbs, 3 right about 15" and the rest around 12". All fish were tight to structure and caught on spinner baits and buzz baits. Missed a couple nice fish on the buzzbait bight early. Fishing seems to be improving with the little cooler weather.
Went to Stockton yesterday afternoon with my brother in law. Got on the lake at about 5 and flipped a road runner a few times. Caught a couple small males around 9 inches around some stick ups so we anchored and started fishing with minnows. Caught six big females around that stick up all about 14 inches and probably 25 or 30 more small males. Finished fishing a cove until about 8:30 and ended up bringing home 10 good fish all around 14 inches and caught a total of atleast 60 fish. To bad the rain and thunder is coming because the fishing is great right now. We talked to quite a few people that had caught 20 or 30 keepers through the day. Good luck to anyway going that way.
I was up there on Saturday and water temp was 62. Caught a few small crappie and bass and my brother in law caught an 8 pound channel cat on a minnow crappie fishing a cove. Another buddie was up on Sunday fishing a tournament there and winning weight was 15 lb. 6 oz. with big fish being 5 lb. 7 oz. Said that bass were shallow around stick ups and bushes hitting jigs. Hope this helps.
