Will take orders for anything you want that isn't tied up . If you don't see it in the pics I may have it and just didn't make the pictures. Chris Scott, 417-818-1147
  4. is looking to sell his whole fly box

  5. Do a large dying shad pattern right now if your shooting for muskie . Hit all the points on the south leg and the submerged foundation.. If you have electronics its a good idea to head to deeper water . Dont forget to pay attention to the lure all the way back to the boat and do figure 8's before you cast again. So many times I would be sitting there after 8 hours of fishing alone .. some what dazed , and BAM!!! huge splash 2ft from the boat that gets me wet from the tail thwack and then nothing... they have a knack for catching you right in the middle of lala land so dont let your guard down lol. good luck
  6. What are you fishing for ?.. walleye , muskie , bass , catfish , crappie?.. if not crappie or catfish swing a lipless crankbait for a while and see where that gets you. A nice jigging motion helps . The water temp matters a lot though . so help me help you by telling me what species and where.
  7. Hunt, Fish and Swap started as the merging of one man’s passions, hunting, fishing and supporting people with disabilities, into one event. He never imagined where it would lead. In its first year Hunt, Fish and Swap attracted over 1200 people to visit nearly 40 booths filled with hunting and fishing equipment. Visitors also had the opportunity to attend sessions on outdoors activities including fishing, hunting and wild game cooking. Most importantly, over $7,000 was raised to help people with disabilities right here in the Ozarks. For the second year, the event has grown. With over 50 booths of merchandise, more speakers and a year of experience, Hunt, Fish and Swap has emerged as a great place to shop for and sell outdoors equipment and apparel. Tickets for a weekends worth of shopping are $8 and can be purchased at the door. 9. take a look at fellows lake its one giant primary point.. more like a arrow pointing to better fishing , waka waka waka.. sorry I'm no help.
  10. I have been laid off for some time now . Trying to make money any way I can .Reasonable prices for any fly you could ever want. All flies are tied as though they were going to be in my box .. that means that everything is of the highest quality from mustad hooks down to the kevlar thread.. needless to say these wont fall apart like the bass pro flies.PM for any info.
  11. I have caught a few at fellows lake . The only problem I see is that every time i catch one they get air fighting and thrashing about... I would hate to catch a muskie to the face sitting in such a vulnerable position. literally 3-4 ft. jumps, they can clear a patch of water and land before you can even react. If you would like a bass boat tag along to help land the beast just set up a time , it would be worth it just to catch on video.
  12. That is nice!.. perfect for a short float.
  13. what did you guys get for christmas that blew everything else out of the water. I ended up with a really nice rod and reel combo (7'4" with a little rick clunn sig.series reel)named it master blaster. Here is a proper image of my rod
  14. for you bass fisherman ... almost forgot , the craw. Mat: swiss straw, antron dubbing, 2 moose body fibers, pair of stem eyes, and a few hen feathers for claws start at the bend with your antennas(moose hairs)tie in your claws and get all 4 looking right. Tie on your eyes and then just in front of them place your straw with the extra pointing towards the hook point, tie it in and start adding your dubbing behind the eyes.Fold the straw over the eyes/ dubbing and start making the ribbing . Leave extra straw for a tail... if you want to get fancy use a little hackle at the front of the body for legs or maraboo for feelers and mouth parts or even copper wire for your ribs. Get creative , use your own colors , post a pic and let me see how yours turned out.
  15. hope you all have a wonderful holiday w/e tradition you observe.. here is a early present.. The following pattern is considered a weapon of mass destruction and should not be kept in plain view of the public hook: start large to get practice mats: antron dubbing , micro fibers , and mottled wing mat. that will be stretched over the back of the scud..anything shiny flat and some what transparent will work for the back. steps.. start mid shank tie in and place your micro fibers middle of the hook to where the small ends come off the back of the fly. you should have enough left in the front to make small legs and antennas. wind back 1/3 of the hook bend and tie in your backing mats..remember to leave some hanging over the front and back. Then start your dubbing , there are 2 good ways to bring this together you can wrap dubbing and then make a rib or make the ribs ,legs , and dubbing come together all at once... (the harder it is to tie the better it looks).. for sake of practice try the second way, wrap a rib of dubbing while holding a few micro fibers back then pull your back over it and start a new rib with dubbing and a few more micro fibers until you are at the eyelet.Make sure to leave a few fibers for antennas and then tie it off.. scud missile sorry my camera stinks..you get the idea though
