took A friend out yesterday on a guide trip did greer to turner Fishing was Tough as expected but I think he did pretty well hooking a nice 17 inch wild rainbow in the white water fish were being very selective but you could still catch a few on egg Patterns was a great day to get out and have fun on the water 70 and a slight breeze even with the wind gust it wasn't bad looking foward to the weather ahead as long as it doesn't come a flood (The Ghost Angler) Tito

went out sunday greer to turner fished stones, eggs,Copper johns and prince nymphs all produce well had one fish over 24 inches comeoff right under the boat My friend fought the bruiser to till he was wore out then the shear weight and fast current was just to much when to the line came flying at are heads then two more 20 inch plus were lost at the net they both spit the hook out and one even had it's head started in the net then bam gone talk about a heartbroke day but thats we all go back for the one that got away did catch one that was in full spawning colors still. interesting was a 15 inch stocker also we both reported alot of wild trout were caught more so then stockers

that ain't no lie fishing was truly world class this weekend we had to stop due to are hands cramping up both sat and sunday were great days but sat was world class smallmouth fishing sorry if we tore up the hole before you got there I don't imagine we hurt them that bad though can't wait to do it again i'd say pound for pound fighting smallmouth will give you your moneys worth even a 14 inch smallie feels like a 18 inch trout now catch a 18 to 19 inch smallie and tell me how you arm feels after not to mention I saw the best hatches and rises I have ever seen on the eleven point for this time of the year even though they were secluded to one side of the river the trout were keyed in on the hatch and all I could do was sit on the other side and watch for a half hour as the water just churned with trout what a great sight indeed may be a hint of whats to come this spring and summer

went out today from 11 TO 3 it was brian.john, and I with john's fiberglass jet/john boat right away we were into smallies the bigest being caught and landed was alittle over 16 inches but it was a fat one there was a easy 17 to 18 inch one hooked and pulled to the boat but he got off right as brian reached in they were to busy staring at the size of him instead of reaching down I think brian may have caught a quick photo with his head out of the water I'm looking forward to seeing it we had several double hook ups to many to take and show all the pictures of number of fish were the same way I think everyone lost count after ten each here is just a few of the fish caught injoy The Ghost Anglerthe Picture of the eagle is from the other day thought some of you might like it

Just the half cocked safety

we started our day with zero degree temps and put in at Greer water levels were at 888 cfs it must be brian's lucky number cause he was rewarded with a heck of a nice bow the water being warmer then the air was making alot of mist over the water and looked liked ice all over the banks of the river it was also freezing in the air and coming down like snow I have never seen what lake affect snow is like but this must be close to it this was a sight to remember Brian ,Ryan and I all had a nice respectful day of catching trout the going was slow at first and picked up once the sun hit the water fly's of choice were the marabou jigs, high water they work very well ,copper john's produce some as well as rubber legs stoneflys in light tan water level was around 4 ft and at 888cfs injoy the view The Ghost Angler

I'm just wanting to clean it up for personal use I'm not selling it it's a old break action `H.S.B 12 ga gonna keep it and hunt with it. it's made By H.S.B they were in operation from around 1860 to 1920's they made several old H&R models as well as savage and stevens before they were bought out by savage and stevens arms Co it's worth about 550 to 750 in good shape mine is in poor shape it's missing the correct forearm still shoots very nice and barrel is in great shape it was made in Chicago Illinois to cool of a old gun to get rid of I wasn't sure of it's value when I traded I lucked into it
