  1. We have all had that idiot that rams his way in. I usually (depending on how close he gets) will aim my bow skyward at a 30deg angle and cruise by at the slowest speed possible, and might change my mind and go the other way once I pass them. It's amazing the wake you can put out
  2. http://www.nemomarina.com/. Never used them myself, but plan on trying it this fall.

The dock is now in. Thank you MDC.
  4. Yep, went Saturday (6/16 Larry Gale area, sunrise to noon) caught one on a worm around back of dock, caught one on a crankbait on the end of a dock, and caught two off rocks on a spinnerbait. Very slow day with lots and lots of boats. Wish I could find a pattern.
  5. Caught double my limit of 8" crappie today around the Larry Gale access. Couldn't find any keepers, and those ones we did find were scattered. We did manage to catch some whites while trying to find them crappie. The big ones were female full of eggs. Dozen or so sub 9". Large mouths were on chunk rock with a spinnerbait and a couple on a crankbait. Rough day with the wind, but good day out.

Dock still not in. They have poured an additional concrete pillar, so I guess the new dock is going to be larger?? The new dock is NOT in the parking lot like someone told me, so I assume another month or two or three....

Any new information about the ramp lately?

I used the Crappie dock last time, but it is kinda a pain. Long waiting times for people with one person with a fiberglass boat. Hopefully the wait will be worth it. Shawnee Bend, here I come!!
  9. Has anyone been by the Larry Gale access lately? Last report I got was the old dock was out and new one in the parking lot. I am getting sick of the Glaize area with all the rudeness and can't wait to get back to my stomping grounds, lol.
  10. Was at Shawnee Bend area today, and caught some on the bank and but mostly around the docks. Still full of eggs, so it ain't over yet. 69 deg and slightly stained but pretty good condition, red and green was the ticket for us. What is up with all the moss this year? I haven't seen this much in years. Dock are just covered with it, and forget about the first two feet from the bank. Doesn't matter, still having a blast being out.
  11. Welcome to LOZ! Have you enjoyed the speed demons? With all the tourney's going on, and everybody and their brother hitting the shoreline, I have started hitting the docks. Last week was the Glaze area and this week the Shawnee Bend area, and I have caught my limit each time fishing docks with spinner bait and buzz bait when I have a short strike. All of mine come in 15-30 FOW around the first 5 docks or so entering the cove. With an early Spring, it looks like they aren't playin the way they are supposed to, lol. I find it interesting that Fishinwrench is catching them shallow; I haven't caught anything less than 10'. Guess I shouldn't be throwing rocks at them turtles. I did manage to catch a 12" Black Crappie on a spinner bait though, he looked real hungry.
  12. Nice day out. I went to the Glaize (Sat). Same conditions there but with debris past Party Cove. Crappie were there, but had to put it right in front of their nose to get em. Had another tourney going on, so the banks were stacked like chord wood with boats fighting for the same real estate. I tried to squeeze in where I could, but finally gave up around 2 pm, and started fishing docks, and had 3 keepers over 3 lb in 30 minutes (one was dang near 20"/4lbs?) Have they fixed the Gale dock ramp? Was there 3-4 weeks ago and couldn't use the dock; haven't been back since.
  13. Was on the Glaize today. Had some pretty good luck despite the tourney going on. Caught some decent bass on spinnerbaits on the banks, and crappie around docks at 15 ft in 25-35 FOW on Red/Green tubes. Had to dodge the lightning a few times and wiped the cobwebs off the rain gear, but good day to be out.
  14. First 2012 time out yesterday at Roach as well trying to get the bugs out. Didn't get anything above 10". Found mine at every depth around docks. I didn't start till 12 and left at 4. I kept pretty close to the ramp. I did learn that I need to head to the parts store for some new batteries. Come on Spring!!!
