I generally make a fall trip to Taney in mid October. This year I am considering moving the trip back to November. What can I expect in fish population at this time of year? Also is there a reduction in the number of people thrashing the water. I get weary of people who have no clue what they are doing and the number of fishermen that know nothing about flyfishing courtesy. What patterns might I expect to be productive in mid November?

I've been using the Pitzen for about ten years. In that time other than break offs on 7 and 8x tippets due to overly aggressive hook sets and stupidity I have had great success. Also, it is an easy knot to tie for people like me that have little feeling left in their fingers. Just remember to draw the knot down until it sets. -

I will be visiting Branson with my granddaughters next week. Can anyone advise me on where to take them for some bank or dock (preferably dock) fishing? Any species of fish is acceptable.

I was redirected to this link fro the old Ozark Anglers web site. This is definitely a new format. I think I'm going to like it. I'm a flat lander from Kansas that takes advantage of any opportunity to fish cold water. Taneycomo is at the top of my list since it is so convenient.
