  2. You can float the hole stretch through post in less than a day . there are no obstacles and the outdoor adventure center on post will even drop you off up river if you want.
  3. Had another good day on the Piney. We caught about 15 bass (most of them spots) on 4" pumpkin seed power worm. I had forgot the spilt shot for a carolina rig so we were just letting it dfrift with the current over the rocks and weed beds, worked great. Most of them were on the smaller side but did catch one nice smalley (about two lbs) and a nice largemouth that I failed to get a picture of. Thats my better half in our little cabin cruiser
  4. The stretch that runs through the fort
  5. Went down friday afternoon at about 6:30 with some electric blue and pumpkin seed colored 4" berkley power worms rigged carolina style and caught five decent size smallmouth and spots, my girlfriend even caught a freshwater drum. About 45 minutes before dark I switched to a white 3/8 ounce buzzbait and they were blowing it up a caught several in the two pound range and one largemouth that went about five all out of the same hole. Then I lost that bait, which was the only white one I had, I tried black and nothing.. I even tried a white spinnerbait, nothing.
  6. Went out this morning for a couple of hours and picked up 5 small mouth and one spot on a crawdad colored crankbait. Nothing big but it was still fun
  7. I'm new to smallmouth fishing and so far not doing so well on the Piney. I have managed to catch enough to keep my interest but theyhave been small. I have had the most luck on beetle spins with 3" gulp minnows fishing the backside of pools. Any tips on what lures to use or type of water to fish would be greatly appreciated. I'm strictly a catch and release fisherman, so they will still be thier for you to catch.
