Cox is a private put in I think. We used James River Outfitters at Galena.

We put in at Cox and floated to Galena.

Went floating on the James today. What a day! Haven't been there for several years, it was better than I remembered! We caught quite a few smallies and some nice large mouth. You know the story the big one got away. I did lose a very nice small mouth, got to fight him for a little bit. All in all it was a great day. Can't wait to go back.

I'll be going thru the week. I used to go to Hootentown down, years ago but moved away. Now I'm back I want to get started again. But I've heard some of the accesses are no longer usable? I'm strictly a catch and release guy,more fun for me and everyone else!

Where do most of you put in and take out on the James. I know about Hootentown but where else below there would be a good take out.
